You can’t control every part of the healing process — but you can (and should) check in with yourself along the way.

Asking the right questions after therapy helps you process, reflect, and grow — turning each session into a deeper step forward. 💬

Use check-ins to...

👉 Build self-awareness
👉 Strengthen your progress
👉 Keep you grounded between sessions

Make these reflections personalized! But start with the questions in this post as inspiration.

Take these questions to your next appointment & explore them together with your therapist. 🤍

Today is World Mental Health Day!

And while today serves as a great reminder, caring for yourself should be an everyday priority.

That care could look like...

💙 Letting yourself cry
💙 Setting a boundary
💙 Turning off your phone
💙 Saying “no” without feeling guilty
💙 Or laughing without needing a reason
💙 Booking an individual therapy session with someone on our team of compassionate experts

So, take some time to reflect today about what strong mental health habits look like for you. And then tomorrow, and going forward, implement them into your day-to-day!

Send this post to a friend and remind them to do something nice for themselves today — because mental health matters. 🤍

This month invites us to reflect on the power of kindness, compassion, and courage – both toward ourselves and others. Here are a few gentle ways to honor that intention:

👉 Lead with empathy: When you're chatting with a friend or even a stranger, practice pausing before you speak. You never know what someone else has been wanting to get off their chest.

👉 Stand up, softly: Use your voice to uplift, not overpower. Speaking up against unkindness doesn't have to be loud – make it respectful & rooted in love.

👉 Practice self-kindness: If you've ever been hurt by words or actions, know that healing is possible. Give yourself space to feel and process without judgment.

👉 Nurture safe connections: Surround yourself with people who see you, hear you, and respect you. Healthy relationships are a powerful shield.

👉 Model compassion: Little acts, like a smile, check-in, or kind comment, can ripple far beyond what you see. Be the proof that care still exists in the world.

You are worthy of respect, protection & love – always. Let's create a culture where everyone feels seen, safe & supported. 💙

When things feel heavy, looking for the positive can feel almost… out of reach. ⤵️

But here’s the thing:

Positivity isn’t about ignoring pain or pretending everything’s fine. It’s about being intentional with where you place your focus — even when life is hard.

Noticing what’s working. Remembering what’s true. Creating small moments of joy or calm, even in the middle of uncertainty.

These aren’t just feel-good practices. They’re ways of building resilience. Of reminding your brain and body that not everything is falling apart.

You’re allowed to acknowledge the hard stuff and still look for light.

Both can exist. And both are real.

Need some more guidance on developing your positive mindset? We’ve got you. 🤍

Anxiety isn’t just nervous energy or overthinking before a big moment. ⤵️

It can look like irritability, constant fatigue, trouble focusing, stomach issues, or needing to stay really busy just to avoid slowing down. (And that's not even all of it.)

For many people, anxiety hides in plain sight. ➡️ And it's more than a momentary feeling. It’s a whole-body experience that can quietly shape how you move through your day, your relationships, and your decisions.

The good news? You don’t have to just cope with it. Therapy can help you understand where your anxiety comes from and build real tools to manage it with more clarity + compassion.

Tense conversations. Heated arguments. Moments where everything feels just about to boil over.

Knowing how to deescalate a tough situation — with a partner, friend, coworker, or family member — can be the difference between deepening connection and deepening conflict.

Here are a few practical tools to help bring things down when emotions are running high:

➡️ Regulate your body first. You can’t deescalate someone else if you’re escalating too. Check in with your breath, posture, tone.

➡️ Speak softer and slower. This communicates safety & shifts the eneergy of the interaction.

➡️ Listen to understand, not to win. Drop the urge to prove your point.

➡️ Name what’s happening. Sometimes just saying “This is feeling really tense right now” or “I can tell we’re both getting activated” can invite a reset.

➡️ Take a pause without shutting down. If things are escalating fast, suggest a break.

➡️ Don’t take the bait. Not every comment needs a reaction.

Hard conversations don’t have to end in rupture. With a little awareness and practice, they can be opportunities for repair, clarity, and even deeper understanding.

Save this for the next time things get heated. And remember: support is just a call away!

Have you ever found yourself wondering, “Wait, was that too much?” after a therapy session?

It’s a common worry — but here’s what your therapist is focused on: your patterns, your progress, and how to support you in making meaningful change.

They’re not shocked by what you share. They’re curious about what it means for your growth.

Therapy isn’t about saying the “right” thing — it’s about being real. And that includes the complicated and vulnerable parts.

Everything you share stays between you and your therapist. Confidentiality isn’t just a promise — it’s the foundation that makes honest work possible.

We're here for you when you're ready! fortwellness.com/contact-us

Do you feel like you're "on" all the time?

Like you're holding it together so well that no one would guess how exhausted, anxious, or disconnected you really feel underneath?

This is what performing can look like — appearing calm, capable, and collected while quietly managing an inner storm.

It’s not fake. It’s a survival strategy. And it often comes from a deep need to stay safe, be accepted, or avoid overwhelm.

But here’s the truth: you don’t have to keep performing just to be okay.

Real healing happens when you can start showing up as you are — not as who you think you need to be.

In therapy, we make space for the real stuff underneath the performance. The fear. The pressure. The fatigue. And slowly, we learn new ways to cope.

You deserve support that sees through the performance and meets you with compassion.
