Finally our fearless leader, and foundation of our practice!

Meilin Howard, DDS
Dr. Meilin Howard, our owner, grew up in Sichuan, China. An international student & recipient of a full scholarship, she graduated summa cm laude from Texas Christian University. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she earned her professional degree from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry.

At the office, Dr. Howard has earned a reputation for clinical excellence & patient satisfaction & enjoys building relationships with her patients in a relaxed environment. Thanks to a wonderful staff & incredible patients, Dr. Howard is grateful to be able to deliver the highest quality of family dental care.

When Dr. Howard is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Will, & their daughter, Emily. Her interests include cooking, singing, gardening, hiking & RVing.

Last but not least meet our final assistant and member of the team Barbara!

Barbara graduated from Tarrant County College with an Associate of Arts degree in 2018. She later attended the Texas Academy of Dental Assisting & became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2021. She went on to work as an Oral Surgery Assistant for three years before she joined the Howard Family Dental team. She comes in happily ready to provide excellent care for all our patients every single day.

In her downtime, Barbara loves to read & head out into nature with her boyfriend Alex. The couple also have their hands full training their new poodle puppy, Muffin!

Second of our Assistants with only one member of our team left to introduce after this is Dylan!

Dylan came to work for Howard Family Dental in 2023 & was personally trained by Dr.Howard. He is passionate about patient care, education & comfort & believes in the work we do. He loves to see people leave with the smile they deserve!

At home Dylan attends church regularly & tries to stay involved. He loves to play a variety of video games, table top games, & reading epic fantasy. Dylan’s other hobbies are writing poetry, playing volleyball & getting out on the golf course. He doesn’t have any kids of his own but is a proud uncle!

Almost finished meeting the team finally starting with our Assistants first up is Kourtney!

Kourtney went to Concord Career College & was personally trained by Dr. Howard. She has been with the practice since it began in 2016. She is highly trained in the use of modern dental technology & also has advanced training in nitrous oxide sedation.

At home, Kourtney spends her free time with her husband, Justin, & her son, Daniel. She & her husband enjoy watching the Dallas Stars play & travel to see away games when they can.

Crystal graduated with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. She was awarded the Colgate Student Total Achievement Recognition Award & the Community Oral Health Award for her outstanding work in the community. Crystal continues to volunteer in clinics in Fort Worth & Arlington. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association & the Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Prior to being a hygienist, she was a dental assistant & has experience in prosthodontics, oral surgery & general dentistry. Her hobbies include trying new restaurants & exploring the metroplex for fun activities with her 12-year-old daughter.

Meet our second wonderful Hygienist, Ashley!

Ashley attended Colorado Mesa University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended Tarrant County College & became a licensed dental hygienist. She enjoys getting to know her patients & strives to create a welcoming individualized dental experience.

In her free time, she keeps busy with her husband, Philip, & her two rescue dogs. Together, they enjoy spending time with family & friends, exploring the outdoors & experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.

Next up Meet one of our wonderful Hygienists Angie!

Angie earned her dental hygiene degree from Tarrant County College in 2010. Angie brings advanced dental experience from her work with a periodontal group (gum specialists), mobile dentistry & several general dentistry offices. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is helping patients learn to apply good oral care habits that make a difference in their long-term health.

Angie is married with three grown children & has two grandchildren. When she is not working in dentistry, she is involved in equestrian activities, DIY projects & gardening.

Joe grew up in Bedford & graduated from Austin College in Sherman with a degree in Asian studies with a focus on religion. He has been active in church youth activities throughout his life & has done some world travel. He attended medical school briefly before transitioning to the dental industry. He doesn’t have kids of his own but is a very proud uncle!
