Lori, who will oversee the East Division, brings nearly three decades of nursing experience and has demonstrated exceptional leadership in clinical operations, compliance, and regulatory excellence. From Director of Nursing to Regional Compliance Nurse, she has strengthened systems, reduced survey deficiencies, and guided facilities to achieve outstanding resident care and performance.

Adi, who will oversee the South Division, joined Creative Solutions in Healthcare in 2011 and has built strong clinical systems, mentored nursing leaders, and guided facilities to improved survey readiness and resident outcomes. Her steady, solutions-focused approach will support the South Division in achieving stronger teams and better care for residents.

Creative Solutions in Healthcare is proud to announce the promotion of Mistan Schmidt to Divisional Vice President of Operations for our newly created South Division.

Mistan joined the Creative family in 2022 through the TAG 9 acquisition of Twin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Victoria, where she helped guide teams through transition and alignment with our culture. In 2023, she was promoted to Area Director of Operations for Area 12, supporting newly acquired facilities and strengthening operational consistency across the region.

“The most rewarding part for me is seeing team members grow, thrive, and make a positive impact in the lives of the residents we serve,” Mistan shared.

In her new role, Mistan will oversee operations for the newly created South Division, supporting facility leaders, strengthening performance, and helping guide continued growth.

Last Valentine’s Day, Chisolm Trail Nursing and Rehabilitation Center had the honor of hosting a beautiful wedding for residents Janet Mayberry and Henry Cross!

Surrounded by fellow residents, team members, and family, Janet and Henry said “I do” in a celebration filled with love and joy. The special day included a wedding cake, a photo booth, rose petals, and even personalized candies with their names.

Now celebrating their first year of marriage, the couple shares that their journey has been wonderful and it has been a year filled with happiness. Janet loves Henry’s sense of humor, and Henry says his favorite thing is all the kisses he gets. Their story is a sweet reminder that love continues to flourish at every stage of life.

This Valentine’s Day, we are celebrating a love story that truly stands the test of time!

Leota and Joe Sheppard from Legacy at Corsicana will celebrate an incredible 72 years of marriage this October 9th, and their story began while serving our country. Joe was serving in the Navy, and Leota was a Navy nurse when they met at a hospital. What started as a chance meeting in uniform quickly turned into a lifelong love.

Through decades of memories and milestones, their love continues to inspire everyone around them!
