Guys, can I just say something?
Listening to your body is SO IMPORTANT! Your body speaks to you, are you listening?
Today, I DID NOT want to workout. At all. Did not. Especially after having worked out very little over the last 2 months due to sickness. But.....I knew I needed it. I got off of my bed and I went outside and I got started. I wasnāt sure what I wanted to start with, my body was hurting & I mean... I really didnāt want to start at all. I paused, took a deep breath, and said āokay, letās do some sprints.ā So I did some light stretching and started sprinting, and I was feeling really good doing it too. My heart was pounding. My body was drenched. It felt amazing. You guys... I did my sprints for 45 minutes straight because it felt so good! Thatās right... 45 minutes! Iāve never done that before, but today, my body was giving me all the green lights, saying āYAS girl! Do it! Keep going! This feels great! I needed this!ā Now guys, I may have sprinted 45 minutes today but if I were to do it tomorrow it may produce a different result.My body needed it TODAY. Tomorrow I will wake up and probably need something different, perhaps more weight lifting & lighter cardio. Anyways, the whole point of this is I want to challenge you to start being still and listening to what your body needs. Look, running is great, but some people HATE it. So, find something else your body likes and do that, but hey, sometimes your body will tell ya to go on a run and I encourage you to listen. For the most part, I do a lot of weight lifting. But their are some days, like today where I just needed something different. Are you listening to your body? Are you still eating things that may give you heartburn? You still drinking all those sodas even though it probably burns your throat and stomach at times? I know... I used to drink Dr. Pepper every day for years. I havenāt drank soda in years and if I tried today, it would just hurt my stomach. Do you feel really lethargic or just icky after you eat? You should probably change up your diet and make it healthier. All these are signs from your body, telling you that it doesnāt like what youāre putting in. Start listening! š
