When a Young Adult is diagnosed with cancer, their whole world stops.

AYAs are part of an invisible cancer population with unique needs, unique care requirements, and unique treatment requirements.

Right before the Holidays this is a good reminder of how to respond to all our friends and loved ones who are battling cancer.. We always feel that this is a relative topic of conversation. Have you seen our amazing infusion unit yet? We are so proud of it! In May 2016, our coalition opened America’s first community-supported AYA oncology inpatient unit and infusion center for patients ages 15-39.
Located inside Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth, the unit provides an age-relevant treatment “Home”for young adults, ages 15-39, diagnosed with cancer in our community. 🎗To continue our work please donate directly on our website so we are able to care for AYAs throughout our community. https://fwaya.org/donate-to-fwaya/
