This spring, we invite you to honor someone who has touched your life — a beloved family member, a dear friend, or a courageous military service member.
When you make a gift in their name, your tribute will be included in our Fall Memorial/Honorarium Edition of our newsletter — a meaningful way to celebrate their life and legacy.
Your generosity also makes a real difference today, helping provide compassionate care and comfort to local patients facing serious illness and the families who walk alongside them.
Submit your tribute by June 15, 2026, to be included: www.chot.org/mayday
Celebrate the memory of someone close to you, honor someone living, or pay tribute to those serving in our military.

What does it really mean to care for someone at the end of life?
Through a unique partnership with our team in Waco and Baylor University, students are stepping into patient rooms and family living rooms to learn something that can’t be taught in a textbook—how to care for the whole person.
By serving as patient companions, shadowing hospice teams, and walking alongside families, these future healthcare professionals are gaining a deeper understanding of compassion, dignity, and what it means to truly show up for patients.
Because caring for the dying isn’t a failure of medicine—it’s one of its most meaningful responsibilities.

Hospice care is often misunderstood.
It’s not just about how someone dies—it’s about how a family is supported through one of the hardest moments they’ll ever face.
In this video, Les, a Community Healthcare of Texas hospice nurse and end-of-life educator (also known as That Hospice Guy), shares a powerful reminder about the quiet work of hospice.
It’s the presence, the guidance, and the compassion that surround families when they need it most. 💙
