Kortnie Steward has been selected as Halo Hospice’s very first Employee of the Quarter—an honor that reflects her exceptional dedication, compassion, and impact. As an RN Case Manager for the past two years, Kortnie has played a pivotal role in the growth of Halo Hospice, serving as our very first nurse in this position and helping shape the standard of care we proudly provide today. ⭐️

With seven years of nursing experience, Kortnie began her career in the fast-paced Emergency Room before following her heart to hospice care. It is here that her true calling shines. She forms meaningful, lasting connections with her patients, their families, and facility partners—relationships built on trust, communication, education, and genuine compassion. Her presence not only comforts those she serves but also strengthens the communities around her.

Kortnie’s faith is an integral part of who she is, and she often brings peace and reassurance to her patients through prayer, offering an added layer of comfort during life’s most tender moments.

Outside of work, Kortnie enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years, Jason, and their two beloved pups, Pyper and Max. She’s a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, loves hitting the golf course whenever she can, and has a true passion for gardening—earning her a well-deserved reputation for her green thumb. Kortnie also enjoys baking and often shares her homemade treats with both her patients and her hospice team, spreading joy in even the smallest gestures.

We are incredibly grateful to have Kortnie as part of the Halo Hospice family. Thank you, Kortnie, for the unwavering dedication, kindness, and compassion you bring each and every day. 💚

Halo had a fun and love filled Valentine’s with the residents at The Waterford on Cooper creating door hangers.

We decorated delicious looking donuts to snack on at Riverside Oxford Memory Care.

And brought balloons to Willow Park Rehabilitation & Care Center for a festive Valentines fiesta!

We love partnering with our communities across DFW to celebrate with them as well as caring for their amazing residents! 🩷❤️
