Thank you to Texas Health Huguley and Neocrine Biosciences, Inc., for helping us promote Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) during TD Week. It was a great day educating our community. Did you know that during Schizophrenia week, we want to acknowledge that those living with Schizophrenia can also develop TD as a side effect of the antipsychotics? HOWEVER, those who use long-acting injectables instead of oral medications have a lower chance of developing TD. The percentage is only 7-12% compared to 25% with second-generation oral antipsychotics. Learn more about both of these on our website.
