ACT NOW: Gov. Abbott Must Sign HB 3459 This Week
We need your help to get important legislation signed into law. Please act now.
Don't let the health plans get their way. They want Governor Greg Abbott to veto House Bill 3459 that would reduce health insurance prior authorizations for many Texas physicians. Specifically, the bill will allow physicians to earn a “gold card” out of the prior authorization process for certain services if they demonstrate a high percentage of prior auth approvals for those services. Also, HB 3459 requires utilization reviews to be conducted by a Texas-licensed physician in the same or similar specialty as the patient’s physician.

Please post the social media below on your Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Don’t let big insurance fool you. Insurance lobbyists are trying to kill important legislation that will help Texas patients get the care they need. Call Gov. TODAY and tell him to sign .

Only a physician has a 360° view & perspective of their patient’s health – not a health plan. Reviewing paperwork is not providing health care. Treating the patient is providing health care. Tell Gov. to sign TODAY.

Physicians want to spent time treating patients, not jumping thru prior auth hoops. If >90% of prior auths for a physician are approved, “gold card” the physician & let them practice medicine, not shuffle papers. Call Gov. TODAY & tell him to sign

HB3459 prevents by ensuring physicians are practicing medically necessary, evidence-based, high quality health care. is good medicine. Call Gov. TODAY and tell him to sign .

When health plans deny care patients need, the cost burden shifts to patients who already pay increasingly higher premiums & copays. protects patients. is good medicine. Call Gov. TODAY & tell him to sign

Don’t let the health plans fool you. They use “prior authorization” hurdles to delay or deny care AND make patients pay out of pocket for care the plans should cover! Let doctors care for patients. Tell Gov. to sign TODAY.
