Have y'all been seeing the AWESOME videos has been sharing on her account?

Danni is an Ampcare-certified SLP and is knocking her dysphagia cases out of the PARK!

From Bell's Palsy to TBI to Parkinson's and more...Ampcare has helped Danni bring SO many members of her community back to the dinner table.

"We’ve had a lot of success just because there’s so many people needing good treatment. All of them are typically eager to get started, excited. They’re not usually afraid of it... I think just because I’m so passionate about it and the way I explain it," Danni said.

When you have a dysphagia therapy protocol that works time and time and time again, it's easy to get passionate about your work.

Thank you, Danni, for showing up for your community and sharing your wins along the way!

What questions do you have about Ampcare's Effective Swallowing Protocol?

A UK randomized controlled trial put traditional swallowing therapy head-to-head with Ampcare’s Effective Swallowing Protocol (ESP).

Both groups got four weeks of treatment, but only one group saw life-changing results.

📈At the end of treatment, 83% of patients using Ampcare ESP reported improved quality of life (vs. 38% with usual care).
📈One month later, 100% of the Ampcare group reported better quality of life.
📈More patients improved their oral intake and swallow safety with ESP than with traditional therapy.

That's just the data! Here's what two of the Ampcare ESP participants said:
🗯️“I feel I have no problems swallowing at all now.”
🗯️“It’s made such a difference not having to pull over to use my pot (to expectorate secretions) when I am driving – that’s been a huge change in itself.”

For these survivors, ESP gave them back their freedom, their confidence, and the simple joys of daily life.

If you’re ready to see what ESP can do for your patients, comment “ESPResearch” and we’ll send you the full study summary.

Even your grandma can see the difference between these two FEES videos, THAT'S how drastic they are!

These videos were submitted to us by Danni Welch an incredible SLP and private practice owner who is changing lives in Arkansas!

This patient came to Danni with your classic Parkinson's voice and dysphagia symptoms. His family started to accept his symptoms as "just part of the disease," but Danni refused to let that be the case.

With consistent Ampcare ESP sessions twice a week, this patient:

✅ Is enjoying a regular diet and thin liquids
✅ Avoided aspiration pneumonia
✅ Strengthened his voice
✅ Avoided the decline his family feared

They say a picture's worth a thousand words, but these videos are worth YEARS of quality of life.

Save this post to share with your next patient with Parkinson's who thinks their swallow function can't improve!

Of course, it helps if you're Ampcare-certified ;-)

Option 1 seems like the best option in our totally unbiased opinion....😏

When it comes to dysphagia therapy, the numbers and the outcomes speak for themselves.

Ampcare ESP is a protocol that consistently outperforms traditional exercises in real clinical trials, helping more patients eat safely and enjoy life again.

Curious about the rest of the evidence?

🤔What other x-rays did he fail?

We love a good opportunity to educate other healthcare providers on what SLPs do - and this is one of the most common opportunities for SLPs to do just that!

Instrumental swallow exams aren't pass/fail tests.

Why does it matter?

Well, words matter, especially in healthcare!

If decision-makers think a patient "failed" something, their discussions and recommendations could be swayed.

"Fail" can make people think "incapable."

And we SLPs know DANG well that just because patients aspirate on their MBS, it doesn't mean they're incapable of eating or drinking!!

What's something you've politely educated colleagues on?

Okay, the answer is....
C) CN IX (Glossopharyngeal)!

The glossopharyngeal nerve carries critical sensory input from the oropharynx (i.e., posterior tongue, faucial pillars, and pharyngeal mucosa) to the brainstem swallowing center.

CN IX gets most of the attention because it supplies the posterior tongue and oropharynx, but swallowing is never a one-nerve event.

CN X also plays a major sensory role, especially through the internal branch of the superior laryngeal nerve, which monitors the laryngeal vestibule and helps detect pe*******on or aspiration!

That’s why reduced sensation can show up clinically as:
❌delayed swallow initiation
❌poor airway response
❌silent aspiration

While NMES does NOT directly target the motor component of CNs IX and X, it's important to know that Ampcare provides a sensory proprioceptive pathway to the laryngopharynx by stretching it open and creating a perturbation effect!

Did you get the answer right? Let us know in the comments!

What if you could speed up your patient’s airway closure by 39%?

That’s exactly what researchers at TCU found when they investigated Ampcare’s Effective Swallowing Protocol.

After just 10 stimulations, the laryngeal vestibule closure reaction time was an average of 39% faster.

When the airway snaps shut more quickly, it gives the bolus less time to go the wrong way.

This is HUGE because, in dysphagia, every millisecond counts. Faster closure means safer swallows and less risk of aspiration.

While we can't make your toddlers put their shoes on faster or help caffeine perk you up sooner, we CAN help YOU improve your patients' dysphagia faster.

Ready to help your patients go from “slow and risky” to “fast and protected”?

The patient aspirated? The study has just BEGUN, doc!! Keep reading for tips on how to handle this challenge...

We know this is a common frustration for SLPs:

✔️They do an MBS
✔️The patient aspirates a little
✖️The radiologist wants to end the study

What good does that do if you can't test strategies or different consistencies?

Just like SLPs, radiologists want evidence AND the reassurance that they won't cause patients any harm.

If this is a battle you're up against, bring these two points to the discussion:

👉According to the American College of Radiology (ACR) MBS practice guidelines, "If aspiration occurs, the patient’s response to aspiration and ability to clear the aspirated materials and his or her response to protective and therapeutic maneuvers should be assessed wherever possible..."

👉In a 2016 study looking at 696 MBS cases, only 1% of patients developed VFSS-related aspiration pneumonia. Old age and severity of swallowing difficulty were associated with the occurrence of pneumonia.

Ampcare is SPECIFICALLY designed to stretch open the laryngeal vestibule, providing resistance for the patient to swallow against, thus speeding up airway closure time and reduced aspiration.

It's been proven time and time again to eliminate aspiration - making every radiologist breathe a sigh of relief when it comes time to that repeat MBS 😉

Share this post with the SLPs who can relate to this (and could use some support!)

🗣️SLPS ARE NOT THE DIET POLICE!

Our goal is to KEEP patients on their favorite foods and drinks, right?!

Also, fun fact: we were able to wrangle a radiologist to be our "patient" for this video; a true ally😂

Here's to SLPs blazing a BETTER path to dysphagia care and diet recommendations with better diagnostic processes AND effective therapy.

Ampcare's Effective Swallowing Protocol continues to knock other protocols out of the water in patient comfort, progress, and speed of recovery.

Are you ready to prevent more patients from looking like our "patient"...
