We closed out our day with shaving cream writing! We practiced writing letters and drawing shapes. Sensory activities are so important for children, but of course it’s all about the fun! Check us out🫶🏾 .

Hello Monday! You were too good to us! This weeks theme is buggin 🐜🐛🦟 We are focusing on bug homes such as plants, webs, hives, hills and dirt. We will get answers to questions such as: how do ants make their hills? What bugs are living underground? How do bugs thrive living on plants? We are so excited to explore deeper into this theme.

We also welcomed our new sweet friend, Lincoln. My friends were beyond excited to show him the ropes! 🌈

Lastly, we are starting our butterfly journey. 🦋Today we got to see the cutest little caterpillars wiggle around their enclosed cups. Next month we will release them during our butterfly tea party!

Today we wrap up our theme on birds! We have had such a great learning experience! We learned about birds like sandpipers, chickadees, penguins, cardinals, and so much more.

We are closing this theme with birdwatching, by taking all of our bird knowledge and putting it into action! We read our book of the day “Bird Watch” by Christie Matheson. Then we made our very own binoculars and cannot wait to see what birds cross our paths 🦅🦆🦜🐥🐓🦃🦉🐧🐤🦩🐦‍⬛🦚🪿.

Today’s bird focus is: PENGUINS 🐧.

We spent our morning learning all about penguins. We discussed penguin characteristics such as they don’t have any sense of taste, they can swim up to 25 mph, and depending on the type of penguin they make some really silly sounds!

We really enjoyed seeing them in action and reading our book “Waiting On Mama” written by Gianna Marino 📖
