Orders are steadily coming in and it won’t be long before dates start moving from our pink “open availability” to yellow “limited availability” - especially those with a homecoming 09/26-10/10!! 👀

SENIORS: Custom orders will be very limited after August 15th! Please don’t wait to get your order in. All orders are placed through the website and we are available via phone/text for any assistance or consults!

Thinking of all the sweet Seniors and their mommas that I had the honor to meet this year! I know these last weeks of May bring not only all the busy and chaos but big emotions too and my heart goes out to each of you!! 💕
TTM UPDATE: And because May is crazy for everyone, I didn’t want Mums to be an added weight or item on the to-do list so we are holding off on opening orders and until June 1st! Senior consults will also be available through June this year. SO much NEW this year!! 🎀

I know it has been quiet over here but it has been busy behind the scenes! I am finally getting caught up after attending two mum conferences in March with some of my favorite ladies. Lots of new arrivals coming in - ribbon, bling and all the things!

All that to say, I have been challenged by some colleagues to start posting on social more for one of my 2025 goals so be sure to follow us here and on TikTok. I will be sharing about our Ambassador Program, Senior Consults and Ordering throughout the week. Stay tuned! 🎀

Late post but last week I had the honor to attend Liberty Christian’s Annual Ladies Tea with my beautiful mum sisters. It was a wonderful afternoon reflecting on who we are in Christ and an opportunity to fill our cups so we can pour into others. It is so special linking arms with these women that I admire, who quite literally could be considered direct competition, but instead we are each other’s biggest cheerleaders and a true example of community over competition. Thank you for the invite and hospitality, ! 💗🌸🎀

I got home past midnight last night after spending a busy mum-making weekend in Katy with my dear friend Melissa . I spent the entire drive home trying to process and summarize my thoughts until I came across this picture that her oldest daughter Kate captured. Gratitude.

After Melissa’s husband passed, we knew she couldn’t possibly commit to a mum season this year with the unpredictability that comes with grief but wanted to give her the opportunity to keep her business going for future years. So I drove down and we cranked out all 20 of her orders within 48 hours while we cried, laughed and again…dreamed! None of this would’ve happened had Marshall not insisted she come rescue me when I was in need last season. There is also no way we could’ve accomplished all these orders without the help from these incredible makers, . These women rallied around last minute and generously donated braids and other components from their own inventory which cost both time and money! A tangible example of community over competition.

Homecoming mums may just be a frivolous Texas tradition for most, but for me and my peers it has been a life line and I couldn’t be more grateful for this business. It was my own therapy for years while Lennon was going through chemo, keeping my hands and mind occupied while we were in the hospital. It’s provided the ability to contribute financially for my family so my kids can partake in all the things. It has introduced me to some of the most genuine, talented and caring women that I’m blessed to call friends. The only people that truly understand the chaos, stress, mental and physical fatigue that comes with 80 hour work weeks for 3 months. I’m thankful for the vulnerability that comes with authentic friendships; where they allow you to come sit with them in their mess and darkest times.

And there’s no way any of it would be possible without my customers! I’m grateful for each of you who has allowed me to participate in your homecoming memories!! Truly means the world! 💓

A quick snapshot of our availability calendar for the 2024 season. Currently, we are still fully open for all dates but with orders quickly coming in, you’ll see the pink squares turn to yellow once we are limited then orange once we are sold out in coming weeks.

🚨 📢 SENIOR CONSULTS: After many recent requests for consults, I’ve opened up two additional dates next week for in person consults. With school and fall sports starting for 4 active kids, I am unable to block out time to meet for consults and am instead braiding and creating mums around the clock. Consults are not required and online ordering is always available, but if you would like to meet in person to discuss your senior mum order, consults can be booked through the website using the link in our bio.

We absolutely love a matching Senior Mum and Garter moment!! 😍 Sweet opted for the Luxe Heart mum which was the perfect size for her petite frame.

Seniors & Mamas of Seniors: We recommend placing an order for a mum now and if you/your daughter gets asked, let the date’s parents know the mum is taken care of already but we can always accommodate with a matching garter order if needed. We are typically booked by mid August for Senior mum orders and nothing is worse than having to turn away a panicked mom who waited.

Melissa () and I met online through our shared love/business of homecoming mums and quickly bonded over how we basically are living very parallel lives, but she’s in Houston and is attending dance competitions with her 4 daughters while I’m in Fort Worth with my crew and all the sports. One of the biggest things in common being our husbands, who do it all from kids to laundry and baking, are the glue to our family and huge supporters of our business.

With her husband’s encouragement, she was quick to pack a bag and come stay with me for 5 days in the middle of homecoming season to help me fill my orders after getting Covid during my busiest week. The next week I then was able to turn around and spend a few days with her family, helping tackle her orders - all while our husbands held down the forts, tending to kids and making sure we were fed. We finally had to stop saying “Omg, me too” because it was getting a little creepy how similar and easy it was to go into someone else’s complete chaos of homecoming season (if you know, you know) and feel at home. You quickly get to know someone when you’re stressed and working together around the clock without sleep for days at a time.

We just spent another 5 days together earlier this month full of business planning, goal setting, catching up on how amazing our kids are, how supportive our husbands are and dreaming of what comes next.

Never did I imagine I would receive a text from her yesterday morning that her husband had just passed unexpectedly while on a walk with their 12 year old daughter.

I didn’t know Marshall long but I do know he was one of a kind, with the most contagious laugh and charismatic personality. He served and loved his family, friends and community the way the Lord calls us to. He was his wife’s biggest cheerleader, the ultimate girl dad, leader in their church and so much more. To say this is a huge loss for their family and friends is a gross understatement.

Long overdue but we are happy to announce our NEW WEBSITE is officially live and OPEN for orders!! Only a month or so behind schedule, right? 😜

And the website isn’t the only new thing I’ve been working on. 👀 You know the story “if you give a mouse a cookie…” well, my ADD brain has been hyper focused on all the details and lead to creating a whole refresh!

Check out our new updated branding, complete with a fun custom pattern that I’m really proud of and excited to use soon in our new Senior boxes. You’ll also find new packages, new upgrade options, new designs and a new reservation option (perfect for my boy moms who inevitably are left trying to scramble for a mum after their son decided to ask someone last minute 😉.)

*Still working out the kinks for our new booking system to schedule senior consults so that should be coming soon. Also working on updated photos and examples so if you aren’t sure of a product, shoot me a message.

It’s that time again! Our books will be open April 1st and we will begin taking orders for the 2024 season! As always, we will also be offering an 💵 EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT for orders placed in April! Remember, it’s never too early to order and we can customize closer to your homecoming date if needed.

We have been prepping and planning to bring some new and exciting additions that I’ll be sharing over the next month so be sure to share with your friends and check back soon.
