Congratulations to Fort Worth Fire Department’s Alex Watson (Paramedic) and Mollie Casey (EMT) — for receiving JPS Health Network’s Fastest STEMI Recognition for June 2025!

Their timely assessment and care in the field, along with effective coordination with the ED physicians and staff, resulted in a 73-minute EMS first medical contact to PCI time. This streamlined care ensured the patient received prompt treatment for their time-sensitive cardiac condition.

Great work everyone, and thank you to JPS for recognizing high-quality prehospital care!

It’s EMS Week — a time to recognize and honor the EMTs, Paramedics, and Telecommunicators who show up every day with skill, dedication, and compassion.
This year’s theme, “We Care for Everyone,” reflects the heart of EMS — serving all people, in all circumstances, without hesitation.

At Fort Worth OMD, our mission is “improving systems and educating clinicians to enhance patient outcomes.” That mission wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of those on the front lines and behind the scenes, working together to provide high-quality care when it matters most.

To all of our EMS professionals — thank you for the work you do and the impact you make every single day.

ICYMI MedStar Mobile Healthcare’s very own Jeramie Davidson presented a great lecture today at the 2024 Texas EMS Conference! His BLS survival guide is a perfect example of how OMDs mission of improving systems and educating clinicians to enhance patient outcomes is actively alive in our system. Great job Jeramie and congratulations on your excellent lecture!! 👏🏼

September is national recovery month and today the OMD in partnership with the Fort Worth Fire Department, Recovery Resource Council, and MedStar Mobile Healthcare hosted the very first overdose and addiction resource fair.
This outreach program aims to bring awareness and education to the community about addiction, the opioid epidemic, and the resources available for those who are in need.
A special thanks to the City of Fort Worth for their continued support with these initiatives!
