Today, in partnership with the Fort Worth Fire Department, we recognized the teams whose coordinated efforts helped save 42 lives in our community between July 1 and December 31, 2025.

We also recognized members from our Member Cities for their life saving efforts, including Saginaw Texas Fire Department, Haltom City Fire Department, Sansom Park Fire Department, White Settlement Fire Department, and Haslet Fire Rescue.

Today’s recognitions represent 42 members of our community saved because the system worked as designed.

Because of the dedication of the crews recognized here today, these individuals survived cardiac arrest with good neurological outcomes, returning home to their families.

Survival begins with recognition of cardiac arrest from our Emergency Medical Dispatchers and continues with rapid, high-quality care from responding crews during one of the most critical emergencies we face.

Thank you to our clinicians and dispatchers whose work makes a difference every day.

Fort Worth Fire/EMS clinicians recently completed training in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) as part of the Office of the Medical Director’s continued commitment to strengthening prehospital care.

This advanced tool will be used by our specially trained Critical Care Paramedics in specific emergency situations to gather important information and support faster, more informed decisions at the bedside.

We’re proud of the professionalism and dedication of our providers in improving patient outcomes
