Big Food didn’t make a mistake here, this was a boardroom decision.
They engineered a fake fruit, put a picture of a blueberry on the bag, and banked on the fact that most people will never flip it over and read the label.

As we head into a new year, I’m always looking for simple ways to support my health — nothing extreme, just small, intentional changes that actually add up.

This video really stuck with me because it’s so practical. Bobby Parrish walks through a regular grocery store and highlights 5 everyday foods/ingredients to be mindful of — things most of us are already buying and consuming without a second thought.

He talks about:�• Seed oils and how inflammatory they can be�• “Natural” and artificial flavors (and where they actually come from)�• Non-dairy creamers as a common example�• Tea bags and coffee pods�• Ketchup made with high fructose corn syrup

What I love is how simple and eye-opening it is. No fear, no overwhelm — just awareness. I was honestly surprised by a few of these (especially the ketchup and flavoring sources).

There’s something really empowering about making your own skincare.

When you DIY a face mask like this one, you control every ingredient — no hidden fillers, no mystery fragrances, and no harsh or toxic chemicals that are so common in many store-bought products.

I tested this mask myself before sharing it, and the results honestly surprised me. My skin looked brighter and felt tighter, with a healthy glow that lasted. I have those “11” lines between my eyes, and after using this mask they were noticeably softer — barely visible — for several days afterward.

This recipe gave me about 3 uses, making it simple, affordable, and effective.

After rinsing the mask off, I like to follow up with a couple drops of Yarrow|POM oil and Essential Skin Care Hydrating Cream to seal in the moisture and nourishment. (You can absolutely use your favorite moisturizer if that’s what you have.)

Natural skincare doesn’t have to be complicated — just intentional. Your skin does better when you know what you’re putting on it. 💜
