Yoga, Massage Therapy, Metaphysical (Reiki and much more), Peloton, & Infrared Sauna Balance Yoga opened its doors in December of 2008 with the intention of uniting an existing local yoga community. Despite empty classes and a non-existent advertising budget, students began trickling in and practicing yoga on our concrete floors. A year later, we were outgrowing our space, initiating talks of expansion. The new 4,200-square-foot wellness center in Forty Fort opened its doors in 2015. It includes two yoga practice spaces that can accommodate 75 students, a meditation room, three patient therapy rooms, retail space and an art gallery. The multi-use center was designed to promote a sense of tranquility and equanimity. Our eco-friendly studio relies heavily on natural lighting and hosts bamboo floors throughout. This is our new yoga home, and we want it to feel like your yoga home, too. In addition to our daily schedule of yoga classes, Balance Yoga and Wellness offers workshops and training sessions from nationally and internationally known yoga instructors. Metaphysical (energy work) Reiki, Integrative Energy Therapy, and Cranial Activation. Bodywork including Thai massage, prenatal massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage and reflexology also are available throughout the week. Every BODY and every ABILITY. There are no limitations. Come gather with us and rejoice in this gift – the beloved practice of yoga

Yami found yoga during a season of big life changes while in college. What began as a way to simply move her body quickly became a grounding and transformative practice, helping her feel clear-headed, connected, and rooted within herself.

After completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Balance Yoga in 2024, Yami now guides students with an approach centered on breath, self-exploration, and honoring how movement feels in your own body. She believes yoga is a deeply personal experience, and her classes are thoughtfully designed to meet you exactly where you are.

You can expect a supportive, welcoming space where your practice is your own, guided by intention, breath, and curiosity.
