Some of the last skiing of the season.

Made it back out there after 13 years

and managed a few good runs.

Also—do you think my friend Dr. Barbie wears enough bling? 😄

Hard to miss her on the slopes.
Which, honestly, might be the strategy. 😉

Another year.

Not one I would’ve predicted.

There was grief.
There was movement.
There were moments that stretched me
more than I expected.

And also—
moments that felt surprisingly light.

Dancing.
Traveling.
Saying yes a little more easily than I used to.

Somewhere along the way,
things shifted.

Not all at once.
Not dramatically.

Just enough to notice
what I push for

and what actually works better when I don’t.

This sky—
still one of my favorites.

Never gets old.

And somehow,
neither does starting again.

Happy birthday to me.

Midlife hotness era
 officially underway. đŸ”„

Somewhere in the middle of this past year

I started saying yes to things
I hadn’t done before.

Or hadn’t done in a long time.

A Latin dance festival.
Joining a dance team.
Getting back on skis after 13 years.

Not because I had a plan for it.

Just one yes.
Then another.

Followed by showing up.

It’s interesting what happens
when you don’t overthink the first step.

Ahead of my birthday this week,
I’ve been looking back at this past year—

my first year after turning 60.

It held more than I expected.

I worked through incredible grief.

And somewhere in the middle of that—
I found myself at a Latin dance festival

then joining a dance team.

Not exactly how I would’ve mapped it out.

But that’s the thing.

Life didn’t wait for everything to feel resolved.
It just kept moving.

And I moved with it.

Not always gracefully.
But consistently.

There’s more to this year—
I’ll share a few of those moments over the next few days.

Multitasking is not real.

I was playing this
while watching a football game.

Had a pretty solid streak going

until one wrong tap.
Gone.

It’s funny—
how confident we are that we can split our attention
right up until the moment it shows us we can’t.

Driving.
Looking ahead.

Slow, gentle music.
No rush.
Just
 space to think.

It’s my birthday month.

And something about this one
feels quieter
 but more certain.

Less noise.
More clarity.

There’s something I’ve been building
in the background.
Taking my time with it.
Letting it come together without forcing it.
You’ll see soon.

For now—
just this
this view
this sense that something is lining up
on its own

Also
 it’s April 1.
This part isn’t a joke. 😉â˜ș

Tango doesn’t work if you rush it.

neither does your body.

Midlife has a different rhythm.

What used to work—pushing through, moving faster, overriding signals— starts to feel
 off.

Not because something’s wrong.

But because your body is asking for a different kind of listening.

Less force.
More awareness.
Better timing.

Or maybe just:
your body isn’t harder
 it’s just more honest now.

Puerto Vallarta sunsets have a way of reminding you

Not everything needs to be rushed.
Some things are meant to be witnessed.

Not my usual kind of “rounds”
 😄
But honestly?
Probably just as good for the nervous system.
