Huge airport. Snug connections. Somehow made it work.
Sometimes travel is a test of patience… and somehow everything clicks into place ✈️

Of course I ordered the plantains! 😄Breakfast in Guatemala = fried plantains, sunshine, and zero regrets 🍌☀️🍳

First view of Guatemala City from my hotel balcony.

I’m staying near the airport, and one of the first things that caught my eye was the row of flags out front—representing countries from across the Americas.

It was an immediate reminder of how connected we all are, no matter where we’re coming from or where we’re headed. Different places, different cultures, shared humanity.

More to come from Guatemala 🇬🇹

A fun tango demo with Zak.

We were demoing for the group, and it was one of those moments where everything just clicked—connection, rhythm, and movement all in sync.

I love how tango pulls you into the present moment. It’s not about perfection; it’s about listening, responding, and moving together.

Starting the week with movement like this just feels right.

A little tango moment from the other night…

I had the chance to help demo at the end of class, which is always fun! Ashley—one of our wonderful teachers—was leading, and I’m so grateful for this non-profit ballroom and dance studio here in Reno.

This is where I take tango classes—and it happens to be the only place in Reno offering Argentine tango. Such a special community, great teachers, and so much joy in movement.

Dancing is good for the body, the brain, and the soul 💛

✈️ This flight into San Francisco landed the wrong way! Let me explain…

I was on a 6 a.m. flight into SF for a day of seeing my in-person patients. I was a good girl and actually rested instead of playing solitaire 😄

As we were descending, I loved watching this beautiful city slowly wake up. I always try to spot the bridges below, and the Bay Bridge is usually easy to identify because of Treasure Island in the middle of it.

But this time, I was completely confused. Something didn’t look right.

After we landed, I asked the pilot as he was coming out of the cockpit,
“Am I dreaming, or did we just land heading south?”

He smiled and said,
“Yes—we landed the wrong way.”

He went on to tell me that in all his years flying into SFO, he had never been instructed to land in that direction. It’s almost always the opposite!

And it got me thinking…
Things can turn out just as well—even beautifully—when they don’t happen the way they usually do.

💬 When has something worked out for you because it went differently than planned?

❄️ Winter finally arrived.
So quiet. So beautiful.
Captured last Tuesday—snow falling right outside my window.

Growth you can’t see… is still happening.

Last Tuesday, I joined a beautiful group of women to celebrate Tu Bishvat—the New Year for Trees. Even though the blooms aren’t visible yet, sap is rising and seeds are quietly breaking open beneath the soil.

It’s a gentle reminder: the most important growth in our bodies, hearts, and minds often happens behind the scenes. In midlife, whether it’s hormonal changes, healing, or self-care, the quiet work we do now sets the stage for blossoming later.

💬 What “hidden growth” are you nurturing in your life today?
📌 Save this as a reminder to trust your process.

My friend Beth invited me to an art gallery show and a celebration of the “New Year” in New Zealand—hence the gallery’s name: Kiwi Kaerma Gallery (the owner is from New Zealand… a true “kiwi”!).

I had such a lovely time chatting with him—though I never learned his real name because he goes by Kiwi 😄. Gorgeous photography of Lake Tahoe and the Bay Area, amazing food, and fun conversations made it a night to remember.

💬 Have you ever stumbled into a little art + friendship magic like this?

Day 10 of our 10-Day Self-Love Challenge
We’ve reached the final day—and this one is all about reflection.

Take a moment today to ask yourself:
• What patterns did I notice about my body, habits, or reactions?
• What questions do I still have about hormones, metabolism, or body composition?
• How can I continue to love myself more deeply from here?

And then gently consider this:
What might be possible with the right guidance, support, and information?

I would truly love to hear from you.
Share any reflections or insights in the comments—I’ll respond to every single one.

If this challenge helped you reconnect with your body and you’re ready for the next step, the Body Recomposition Program is where we continue this work together—with structure, science, and compassion.

This is not the end.
It’s the beginning of a more connected relationship with your body.

Day 9 of our 10-Day Self-Love Challenge
Today’s practice is about pleasure—and permission.

Do something today simply because it feels good.
No earning. No justification.

As you allow yourself a moment of pleasure, reflect:
• Do I allow pleasure in my body without earning it?
• How might pleasure support healing and body recomposition?

For me, this is one of my happy places—warm water, stillness, and letting my body soften.

Day 8 of our 10-Day Self-Love Challenge
Today’s practice is a mirror reflection.

You can choose to use the mirror to scrutinize and criticize yourself—
or you can say hi to yourself every time you look in the mirror.
You can smile at yourself the way you would if you saw a dear friend.

Take one full minute today and notice the first thought that arises.
Then gently ask:
• Is this thought supportive or critical?
• Would I speak this way to someone I love?

In recognition of Eating Disorder Awareness, this is your reminder:
Your body deserves safety, respect, and compassion—at every stage.

Recomposition never comes from shame.
It begins with awareness and kindness.
