Nearly 1.7 million Californians could face a steep increase in their health insurance premiums if Congress doesn’t extend the enhanced premium tax credits under the ACA. Without these subsidies, the average monthly increase could be ~$125, potentially pricing out up to 400,000 enrollees entirely.
