👁️ What is EMDR? 🗣️

EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing) Counseling is an evidence-based, standardized psychotherapy that helps people heal from the distress caused by traumatic or adverse life experiences by using bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements, to help the brain process and resolve painful memories and emotions. It is a clinician-led approach that uses a unique set of standardized procedures and protocols to address past traumatic events, current triggers, and future positive actions to alleviate human suffering and promote healing.

Prior to beginning my journey at Winebrenner, I earned a bachelor’s degree in children’s ministry and Christian education at Indiana Wesleyan University. I spent five years as a Children’s Ministry Director in Findlay, OH.

What Do Our Case Managers Do? 💻📄🪪🚘🗂️

Our Case Managers support clients in so many meaningful ways! They help coordinate community resources, arrange transportation, assist with applying for disability, medical, financial, or food assistance, and even help with things like getting a driver’s license or securing employment. They also support families with school supplies and reinforce the skills learned in therapy.
