Safety Tip
If you’re traveling alone, here’s a simple trick: lock the passenger seatbelt through the passenger side door so it can’t be opened from the outside.

📱 Phone down.
👀 Head up.
💪 Shoulders back.

Ladies—remember to acknowledge people with a quick look in the eye, then keep moving. Don’t hold their gaze or invite them into your space. Confidence is protection. Stay aware. Stay safe. 🖤

Congratulations to Pet Makeovers in Mesa! 🐾
We had the joy of teaching not only Pet CPR & First Aid, but also Emergency Preparedness.

Thank you for being part of the Pet Emergency Network and for being true professionals who give 100% to the pets in your care!

One of my favorite parts of the week is teaching the EVIT class. Why? Because I know the newest grooming students are leaving with the knowledge and confidence to act if a pet ever faces an emergency while in their care.

In an unregulated industry, that peace of mind is music to my heart. 💙🐾

This week, we welcomed 37 new Pet First Responders into the Pet Emergency Network — each one ready to make a difference when it matters most!

Let’s Talk About Peer Support

Emergencies don’t just impact the pets we care for—they take a toll on us too. That’s why H.E.L.P. includes peer support as a core part of our program.

Peer support means having someone by your side who truly understands the stress, the long hours, and the tough situations that come with being a pet professional or responder. It’s about knowing you’re not alone and that your voice matters.

We prepare you for emergencies, but we also prepare you to take care of yourself. Because resilience isn’t just about skills—it’s about support.

Safety Tip of the Day from H.E.L.P.
Do you know your pet’s normal vital signs?

✅ Heart rate
✅ Breathing rate
✅ Temperature

When you know what’s “normal” for your dog or cat, you can spot when something’s wrong — and act fast.

👉 For example: A dog’s normal heart rate is 60–140 beats per minute (depending on dog size), while cats average 140–200.
👉 If you notice numbers outside the normal range, it could be an emergency.

Knowledge = power = preparedness.
Be ready. Protect your pets.

H.E.L.P. Safety Tip of the Day

Keep a “Go-Bag” ready for both you and your pets!

In an emergency, you may only have minutes to leave. Having essentials packed saves precious time.

✅ For People: ID, meds, phone charger, flashlight, first aid kit, water.
✅ For Pets: Food, leash/harness, meds, collapsible bowl, comfort item.

Preparation today = peace of mind tomorrow.

👉 Learn more through our H.E.L.P. training programs.

H.E.L.P. Safety Tip of the Day

🔥 Always know your exits – Whether you’re at work, home, or traveling, take 30 seconds to identify at least two ways out of any building. In an emergency, those seconds could save lives — including your pets’.

💡 Pro Tip: Keep a leash, carrier, or slip lead near each exit so you can safely evacuate your pet with you.

🛟 Prepared people save lives. Prepared pet parents save more.
