Glaucoma is a disease that damages your eye's optic nerve. It usually happens when fluid builds up and increases pressure inside the eye.

Since January is Glaucoma Awareness month…here’s some interesting information... There’s no prevention of glaucoma itself but there are definitely ways to prevent blindness cause by glaucoma.

Most types of glaucoma cannot be prevented. However, blindness from glaucoma can be prevented with proper treatment.
