We are so excited to welcome our newest surgeon, Dr. Kais Rona, to the Smart Dimensions Team!

Dr. Kais Rona is Director and Chief of Bariatric surgery at Placentia-Linda Hospital. He was recently voted “Top Surgeon” by America’s Best Doctors. A southern California native, Dr. Rona completed his medical and surgical training at the esteemed Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is fellowship trained in bariatric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery and advanced endoscopy. Dr. Rona is passionate about the science and art of weight loss surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the fields of foregut and bariatric surgery. Dr. Rona is dedicated to patient care and believes that the patient experience is as important as the quality of the surgery being performed. He provides holistic and personal surgical care to every single patient and maintains the highest standards of quality.

“As of this morning I weighed in at 156.4. My surgery was 3/3/20 and SW was 296.4 with a BMI of 49. I’ve lost 140 lbs in 1 year and 4 months and BMI is 25. My goal weight is 143 which is in the middle of my healthy weight range for my height, only 13 lbs left to go!! 🎉🎉”
