Spirit Drum and Rattle

We felt a need for a spiritual healing presence in our community in Fountain, so we rented space to provide a home for our practice and to provide tools for alternative spiritual practices. We had fantastic people helping us. We had amazing people showing up in the space provided. We held this space open for 4 years. Some mornings I would get off work and sleep on the floor until someone could show up to relieve me. Doug often stayed late into the evening to hold space or work with people. He created the empath gathering that we are grateful to start again in the new space we have. The shoppe began to take too much energy from our family life, so we had to close. We continued to practice as we were called.

I had met Dawn Thompson at the Holistic Fair in Pueblo, and we became acquainted with each other, finding similar beliefs and practices. She offered to let me read cards and teach classes in her store Karmic Konnection, on Union Street in Pueblo. I would go almost every Tuesday to read or do healing sessions in her space. I was also able to release most of the stock I had retained, to help her out. This has been one of the most beautiful friendships I have had. Through good and hard times we’ve been able to support each other. I’ve learned so much, just being in the store. Stones, oils, practices and more are part of her knowledge base, that she readily shares with those in need. If you get a chance go visit.

I met Tami Sparks, during a reading at Karmic Konnection, and we became fast friends as well. You Soul Purpose llc. is her Business name as well as a couple other businesses she runs. When she offered space in her office for me, I was happy to take her up on it. I learned how to use crystal bowls as an energy practice from my Reiki teacher Meta Porter, and this offered me the space to do meditation, and to bring back to life the empath gathering space. We have downsized in office space from that time, but we are still able to offer these practices.

Our life seems to be in constant movement, even when we take time off, as we have this summer, there is always more learning and working to do. I hope to return to do readings at Karmic Konnection this October. I’ve really enjoyed my time there. I hope also to begin new classes and gatherings through the next year at both spaces.
