At Zenful Journey, we emphasize the gradual, meaningful steps toward inner peace and self-discovery. Our heart-shaped water droplet logo symbolizes purity, clarity, and interconnectedness—values that are at the core of our practice. Together, we embark on a heartfelt journey through movement and breath, committing to heart-centered practices, nurturing inner peace, and cultivating love and compassion. About Me: My yoga journey began as an addition to my fitness and strength training routine, helping keep my body moving fluidly. Creating a connection with the mind, body, and breath has been transformative, reconnecting me with my truest self. Inspired by various movement styles, including strength training, sweat, riot, running, and weightlifting, I created Zenful Journey to take a holistic approach to health and wellness, blending physical, mental, and emotional soundness. With a special interest in Gentle Restorative and Yin Yoga, along with meditation practices, I continue to learn, grow, and heal. My teaching style is inclusive, designed for EVERYONE and EVERY "BODY", focusing on reconnecting with our bodies, dropping into our heart centers, and awakening our souls. I am grateful to share my love and passion for this practice, guiding others to find their personal connection to their hearts within their journey to a more Zenful life. Hi Everyone!! Fowlerville is in the final push for the Level Method photo contest and we need everyone's support to help us bring this home!

Our members had so much fun with this and really want and deserve to win this!

As of yesterday afternoon we were still in the lead by a narrow gap and here's the deal... It's really close and this runs through Saturday! Every like, comment and share earns us points.

🌟 Ride & Revive at Exalt Fitness Fowlerville 🌟

This morning was all about energy, movement, and balance! 🚴‍♂️🧘‍♀️

We kicked off with a feel good High Energy spin class led by the one and only Justin Smith aka Spinjunkie Popup, whose contagious energy kept everyone pushing through with smiles and determination. 🔥

Then, we eased into a slow flow with me, Carie Rose Zanin finding harmony between strength and effort (Sthira) & ease (Sukha). Honoring our bodies, connecting with our breath, and quieting our minds—it was truly the perfect way to wrap up an amazing morning.

A huge THANK YOU to Justin for bringing the fire and to everyone who came out to Ride & Revive with us! You all made this experience unforgettable. 🤍

💪 Two Years of Transformation: Laura's Journey with Exalt Fitness 💪

Watching someone transform not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too? That's why I do what I do.

When Laura first walked through our doors two years ago, she was hesitant and lacking confidence. Her hypermobility created unique challenges, and she had limited body awareness that made fitness feel intimidating.

Fast forward to today? She's absolutely crushing it!

What stands out most about Laura's journey isn't just her improved squats or push-ups (though those gains are impressive!) - it's her complete transformation in confidence. From being reserved and hesitant to now thriving in group classes and actively participating in gym challenges - her progress has been nothing short of inspiring.

Laura's story reminds me why personalized coaching matters. Every adjustment, every cue, every moment of encouragement builds toward lasting change that extends far beyond the gym walls.

🌙 Yin Practice: Stars-Sleep Well 🌙

In our journey to cultivate a serene environment for a good night's sleep, we will tap into the parasympathetic nervous system—nature's way of helping us restore, replenish, and renew.

Through Yin yoga, we balance the nervous system, dissolve tension, and calm the mind. This practice ensures that we aren't carrying the stresses and activities of the day into our sleep, thereby improving sleep quality.

Let's explore Constructive Rest—a gentle practice that calms the nervous system and soothes the psoas muscle, which is often engaged during the "fight or flight" response. By releasing tension in the psoas, we manage stress more effectively, promoting restful sleep.

Remember, this practice is about letting go of any agenda. Allowing yourself to relax and be present, using your breath to guide you into inward stillness.

May your practice help you dissolve stress, slow down brain waves, and find tranquility

🧘‍♀️ **Saturday Morning MYO+YIN YOGA Class** 🧘‍♂️

Today’s class focused on the profound connection between our bones and fascia.

Bones, though not classified as fascia, are wrapped in it and play a crucial role in our structure and movement.

They tell a story of growth and change, carrying our life force, or Qi, as believed in Taoism.

Our practice emphasized honoring the uniqueness of our bodies and the shapes we create in each pose.

We explored the concept of bone breathing, tapping into the heart's rhythm and encouraging openness and vulnerability.

Through MYO techniques, we targeted key muscles like the subscapularis and psoas, promoting relaxation and release.

In our yin poses, we embraced the individuality of our bone structures, accepting and meeting our bodies where they are.

Our mantra, "I am Love, I am safe, I am free," resonated deeply as we tapped gently into our heart space.

To conclude, we meditated in Savasana, focusing on breath and release, and reflected on the hidden mysteries our bones reveal about us.

Remember, "the most valuable truths often lie in the most unlikely places".

At the end of last week in class, we touched on Shraddha. As we continue to step into this new week, let's center our focus on the beautiful concept of Shraddha. In its essence, Shraddha represents faith, devotion, and a deep, unwavering belief in the journey we are on.

Shraddha is about trusting the process, even when the path seems uncertain. It's about dedicating ourselves wholeheartedly to our practices, knowing that every step forward, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goals. Whether it's in our fitness and nutrition, meditation, our self-care routines, or our interactions with others, let us infuse our actions with genuine devotion and purpose.

This week, let's cultivate Shraddha in our daily lives:

Starting my day off with a morning Yin class. Today is a brand-new day, a fresh canvas for you to paint your masterpiece. As you unroll your yoga mat this morning, take a moment to breathe in deeply and exhale all the worries and stress.

Affirmation of the Day: I am grounded, I am peaceful, I am centered.

Remember, yoga is not just about the poses. It's about finding stillness in the chaos, embracing your journey, and cultivating inner peace.

✨ Embrace the strength in each pose. ✨ Find gratitude in every breath. ✨ Celebrate the progress, no matter how small.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, let go of anything that no longer serves you.
