The best way to clean your tongue is not with a toothbrush. The bacteria on the tongue is very sticky and doesn't rinse off your toothbrush well. Stick to using scrapers or special brushes just for the tongue. Also do a pre rinse with water to help loosen it then rinse with mouthwash after and make sure to gargle! BreathRX makes excellent mouthwash that is made specifically to kill the tough bacteria that grows on the back of your tongue that causes the worst bad breath. If you have trouble flossing did you know there are other options? You can use a waterpik, toothpick, floss holders, interproximal brushes and cleaners, and for people with braces there are really cool platypus flossers that fit under the brackets! (no more threading around braces!)
