Knee Pain turned Tendinitis? No thanks!

Trigger Point to the Vastus Lateralis allows the muscle to release continuous muscular contractions, minimizing any pull of the tendon connecting our quadriceps to our patella.

Starting at the distal end of your lateral quad, our therapists apply deep pressure into the primary and satellite triggers within your quadriceps muscles to ensure increased mobilization and decreased pain to your knee. 🦵🏽

We are all aware that waking up with neck tension or a “crick” in our neck is not ideal. Pain oftentimes accompanies this tightness, making going about our normal activities difficult.

What most of us are not aware of is that movement and deep tissue release can actually help this discomfort!

came to us with this issue, sharing that she had to rotate her whole body to see in various directions due to the knot in her neck.

After 45 minutes of Trigger Point Therapy to her thoracic, multifidus, neck extensors and trapezius muscles, we added some light nerve stretches and movements to her cervical spine.

The neuromechanic stretch you see here is for her Musculocutaneous Nerve, extending from her cervical spine (C5-7) running down her anterior arm to her elbow.
Nerve glides here give that extra release and length that is necessary for efficient sensory and motor input from the muscles of this area.

Immediately following her appointment Ailyn felt “lighter and mobile” in the areas that had been causing her discomfort. The following day had her feeling even better, excited to book into her next session the following week.

4 minute seated flow working to increase synergy of the muscles, ligaments, sensory receptors, joint capsule .. all the fun stuff that make up your whole low back + hip complex!

Strengthen your glutes and adductors through full range of motion with the double pigeon movements - practicing perfect posture and correct muscle engagement with whichever progression you’re currently at before advancing.

Then moving into full pigeon pose mid video working towards knee extension is a quick exercise that can be individually incorporated into your daily routines!

The few stretches at the end are great for relieving pressure on your lower back and lengthening your whole posterior chain :)

This whole lil flow felt really awesome to do, when giving it a try make sure to do both sides as I only take you through one!
