Happy Valentines Day! 😉

Now is a good time to check the ingredients of the lubricant you use!

Not all lubricants are created equal… and some may actually make irritation, dryness, and infections worse 👀

If you’ve ever felt burning, itching, or discomfort after using, it might not be your body. It might be the ingredients.

🚫 Ingredients to be cautious with:
• Glycerin
• Parabens
• Artificial fragrance or flavor
• Petroleum or mineral oil
• Nonoxynol-9

✅ Ingredients to love:
• Hyaluronic acid — supports hydration and tissue health
• Aloe vera — soothing and moisturizing
• Water-based formulas with minimal ingredients
• Iso-osmolar or pH-balanced lubricants (closest to your body’s natural environment)
• Vitamin E (for some people)

Here are some brands I reccomend: Slippery Stuff

Your vaginal tissue is sensitive, hormone-responsive, and deserves products designed with physiology in mind, especially during postpartum, perimenopause, or menopause.

If dryness or discomfort is happening, there are solutions 💛

Pelvic floor therapy can help address:
✨ Pain with in*******se
✨ Vaginal dryness related to hormones
✨ Tissue sensitivity
✨ Pelvic floor tension
✨ Postpartum changes

Save this for later and share with a friend who needs it.

If this sounds like you, DM me “PELVIC” to learn more.

Love bike riding but it gives you pain??

Pudendal neuralgia + obturator neuralgia are REAL and can show up as:
⚡ Burning
⚡ Sharp sitting pain
⚡ Vaginal/rectal pressure
⚡ Groin pain
⚡ Pain with biking

If biking makes it worse, your seat might be the problem. 🚴🏾‍♀️

✔️ Make sure your saddle is the correct width for your sit bones
✔️ Consider a cut-out seat to reduce pressure on the pudendal nerve
✔️ Slightly tilt the nose of the seat DOWN (not up)
✔️ Avoid super narrow racing seats if you’re having symptoms

In this video I showed 3 exercises I use in clinic to:
✨ Decrease nerve irritation
✨ Improve hip mobility
✨ Reduce pelvic floor tension

But here’s the truth:
If you’re having persistent burning, numbness, or sitting pain you need more than stretches from Instagram.

Pelvic nerve pain responds best to individualized treatment.

If this sounds like you, don’t ignore it. The longer nerve irritation lingers, the more sensitive it can become.

Thank you for the new stretching strap!!

🚨 The correct answer to the last reel is: OBTURATOR NEURALGIA due to the inner thigh component! 🚨

Let’s talk Fibroids!

Fibroids don’t just impact periods, they can cause:
💥 pelvic pain & pressure
💥 heavy bleeding
💥 bladder/bowel issues
💥 painful s*x

And that’s where pelvic floor PT comes in 👇

✨ PELVIC PT CAN HELP YOU:
✔️ Relieve pelvic pain & pressure
✔️ Improve bladder + bowel function
✔️ Reduce pain with in*******se
✔️ Support recovery before/after surgery
✔️ Improve quality of life without surgery (when appropriate)
Did you know up to 80% of Black women will develop uterine fibroids by age 50, and many much earlier? 😳 Black women are 2-3x more likely to get fibroids and are nearly 7x more likely to have a myomectomy (fibroid removal surgery) than other groups.

💛 You don’t have to just “deal with it.” Know your options. Advocate for care. You deserve relief and support. 🙌

Answer revealed 🚨

PROCTALGIA FUGAX

What it is:
A brief, intense spasm of the pelvic floor muscles around the re**um. The pain can be severe but usually lasts seconds to minutes and then disappears. In some cases it can last hours.

Why it happens:
It’s often linked to pelvic floor muscle tension or spasms. Stress, constipation, long periods of sitting, or underlying pelvic floor dysfunction can all play a role. Hormonal changes always play a role.

What you can do:
✨ Gentle pelvic floor relaxation (not Kegels!)
✨ Deep diaphragmatic breathing
✨ Warm baths or a heating pad
✨ Address constipation and straining
✨ Pelvic floor physical therapy for recurrent episodes

It can be painful, but it’s common, and often treatable. You don’t have to just “live with it.”
