Providing vocal cord dysfunction (VCD), EI-PVFM, EILO, and voice therapy for children and adults, locally and afar, in person and through telemedicine.
Sharon Frank, Speech-Language Pathologist, specializes in voice disorders and vocal cord dysfunction. She started Speech and Voice Therapy Center in 1998. Many of our adult and pediatric clients need to improve their vocal clarity to function better in a variety of settings (home, work, socially, community) or to be better singers. Some of these adults are trying to avoid vocal fold (cord) surgery
or need post-operative voice therapy. Finally, some of our clients are teens who want to participate and excel in sports without having breathing problems due to vocal cord dysfunction. We provide comprehensive initial evaluations by thoroughly reviewing our client's history, conducting formal and informal testing, analyzing the test results, formulating a therapy plan, and discussing the results and recommendations with the client/family so they have a clear understanding of the client's current status, prognosis, and therapeutic goals at the completion of their first visit to this Center.
