Had a PT session at the park today to increase motivation and compliance with therapy and give Mom some ideas about how to make days at the playground a little more challenging for her kiddo. But it turned out to be a scorcher and said kiddo quickly became insistent upon visiting the splash pad… so that’s what we did.

Some of the most important qualities for working with children are being creative and thinking outside the box. Especially when working with kiddos with developmental challenges. They are not just small adults and so they need a different expertise. It’s important to practice exercise that will keep the kids participating and make this into another arduous task for the parents.
