Rehab Success at Casa de Ramana!

Francis chose Casa Rehab for his short-term rehabilitation after his wife had such a positive experience with us—and we’re so glad he did!

During his stay, Francis participated in our BreatheWell Pulmonary Program, working with therapy, respiratory care, and our pulmonary team to improve his breathing, strength, and independence. He especially enjoyed our innovative activities like OmniFlow®, LUNGS Bingo, and the Breathing Olympics, which kept him motivated and engaged.

BreatheWell at Casa Rehab

This week, Miya from OT led a calming BreatheWell session with a theme of meditation and relaxation. The atmosphere was set with soft lighting and warm hand towels, creating a spa-like experience for our residents.

👐 Residents enjoyed gentle hand massages
🌿 Explored different scents and how they made them feel
🧘 Participated in guided meditation and ended with mindful reflection on how their bodies felt

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and everyone left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Strong Steps Forward at Casa Rehab!

Each week, our physical therapy team leads residents through the Otago Exercise Program, a proven set of exercises designed to:
✔️ Improve balance
✔️ Build strength
✔️ Reduce the risk of falls

This program has been a great supplement to individual therapy, giving our residents the confidence to stay active and independent.

BreatheWell Olympics at Casa Rehab!

Our amazing therapy team, alongside our dedicated Respiratory Therapist, brought lung health to life with a fun and engaging BreatheWell Olympics!

Residents competed in activities designed to strengthen breathing, build endurance, and promote overall respiratory wellness — all while having a blast. The laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition made for a truly inspiring day.

Bringing the Beach to the Callahan Center

Our Casa Rehab team had a wonderful time with friends at the Callahan Center, creating Summer Beach Frames! From seashells to starfish, everyone let their creativity shine while sharing stories and laughs. We love these monthly visits that keep us connected with our senior community.

Fighting Back Against Parkinson’s!
Meet Stephen — a proud veteran and an inspiration to our team. He’s working one-on-one with one of our LSVT® BIG certified therapists as part of our GracefulMotion Program for individuals with movement disorders.

Through targeted, high-amplitude exercises, the program helps address common Parkinson’s challenges like bradykinesia (slowness of movement) and hypokinesia (reduced range of motion), aiming to improve mobility and carry those gains into everyday life.

Bienvenidos a Puerto Rico! This July, Casa Rehab residents took a vibrant virtual trip to the Island of Enchantment!

From chicken empanadas to tembleque and quesitos, everyone enjoyed the authentic tastes of Puerto Rico—paired with coconut water and traditional island sweets. Staff dressed in colorful Bomba-inspired outfits and joined residents for a lively afternoon of salsa dancing, dominoes, and 4K street tours of San Juan.

A joyful celebration of culture, flavor, and community. We can’t wait for our next adventure in August!

Carnival fun at Casa Rehab!

Residents enjoyed classic games, mini donuts, soda, and of course, popcorn! What made it even more special were the stories shared—memories of childhood carnivals, town fairs, and bringing their kids and grandkids to the festivities. The laughter, nostalgia, and joy made it a day to remember.
