PRESENT DAY: Lisa Davidson offers Online Yoga, Live Stream Kripalu and Senior Yoga classes to beginners, continuing students, seniors, and privately on Zoom. HISTORY: Lisa's first introduction to yoga was through starting a Transcendental Meditation practice in 1977. She later studied with the Himalayan Institute while at college After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Physics, she continued to study with Amrit Desai and others at the Kripalu Center. Lisa started teaching yoga in 1981 in conjunction with her Polarity healing practice and then with her Kripalu teacher training. Yoga classes in the 1980's were at corporations like Digital and Stratus Computers, and at the Longfellow Club in Wayland After a child bearing break, she resumed classes at Maya's Dream in Natick. As founding director, Lisa Davidson opened Center for Yoga on Rte 9 in Framingham which operated with many wonderful teachers and styles of yoga from 2003 to 2011. When she closed the studio in 2011, classes continued in several locations accommodating her long time students and many new faces. In 2015 she completed an advanced training in Teaching Yoga to Seniors and has added classes in local senior centers. During 2020-1, during the coronavirus outbreak, her classes have migrated online and are offered to everyone, everywhere. REIKI HEALING: Lisa is a Reiki Master in two traditions, but continues to practice and train others in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition. Her energy healing work uses Reiki, Polarity and Reflexology as well as client education to support relaxation, stress reduction, personal growth, and improved health.
