As some of you may or may not know, in 2007 my son Timothy and I set up a non profit corporation to help local children in need during the holiday season. We give local children new toys for Christmas that may not have received any gifts if we did not help. We want to help as many children as we can to have a merry little Christmas! We want them to believe that there truly
is a Santa Claus no matter where they live. Since 2007 we have collected, purchased and delivered over 11,000 new toys to local homeless shelters, school and churches as well as many other local families in need that I was made aware of in the area. We also supplied tape, scissors, wrapping paper, tags, batteries and blankets to all of the parents so that they would have everything they would need. We received a copy of all the children’s Christmas Wish List items and we were able to make all of their Christmas wishes come true thanks to the help of many of our family, friends, neighbors and company sponsors. We also brought new stuffed animals and books to the Pediatric Unit at the MetroWest Hospital the week before Christmas so that we could try to bring smiles to the children’s faces. Timothy and I really enjoy doing this together and we will continue to do this every year. It is a great way to get your kids involved with helping others and still have fun at the same time! Here is our plea for help this year:
We would love to have help in any one of the following ways:
1. Donate checks made payable to Timothy’s Toy Box Inc.
3. Donate Gift Cards to places like Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, etc.
4. Donate NEW toys for ages Infant to 12 years.
5. Ask the company you work for if you can put a new toy donation box at work from mid November until mid December for co-workers to donate new toys for children ages Infant - 12 years. Your company name will be placed on our website as a sponsor if you would like it to be.
6. Donate gift wrap, tags, tape or batteries.
7. Raise money just by searching and shopping online at Goodsearch.com or Goodshop.com - type Timothys Toy Box in the charity of choice field. We have to start the fundraising process now because we have many children that need our help this year. If you would like to help, please don’t wait too long!
