Having a hard time holding it all lately? If the craziness of the larger world, or your own small corner of it is making you angry - come hang out. Rachele and I have designed an evening of moving our bodies and exploring our feelings (just a little) with the intention of releasing anger, connecting with our power, and remembering our joy. There will be throwing things, yelling, and hopefully a lot of relief. Sign up by email or text, or following the QR. See you there!

Exploring the mind body connection is not just for teens. In teen group we take time to play with what emotions feel like in our bodies in order to increase mindful awareness and build self knowledge. You can do this today too. Be ridiculous. No one is watching (probably). 👀

Then the next time you are feeling that emotion, you might have a little ping of recognition. It will be enough to remind you - oh, there you are…anger, sadness, etc. And in that moment of recognition you buy yourself a moment to choose what to do with that feeling. Playful exploration turning into self-regulation? Yes please! ⭐️

A message so important I went off color scheme. There will be so much about this season that focuses on joy or expects gratitude, and that can be wonderful. But honoring the part of this season that is hard for you is important too. Make room for both.

In my practice, I teach people how to make space for their full selves - the joyful and the heavy, the beautiful struggle of it all. If you could use some support holding space for your full experience this season, some support in loving yourself in your full human messiness, reach out.

Diving in a bit deeper in teen group - Now that we have built our vocabulary, we can start to explore our experiences of emotions. It’s time to break out my favorite - the glue sticks!!! Creativity and making something are a great way to explore our feelings and a sneaky way to get teens talking. Not sorry!

Wondering what we do in Teen Self-Care Group?

Maybe it’s just the time of year, but pie has been on my mind lately. This activity lets teens build a large emotional vocabulary while they fill in their Feelings Pie. It’s a little hokey, but it’s a lot easier to work with something if you know what it is. Name it to tame it, etc…

If you’re interested in enrolling your teen, reach out through message or email. Next session starts January 15th.

I’ve been quiet over the last few weeks, focusing on taking care of my family and making space for my own peace. The larger world has been swirling and maybe your personal world has been too.

I don’t have any wise words or sure fire plans. I only know we have to anchor in what really matters. We have to connect to ourselves with love so we can offer that same connection to others.

If you need help to make some space where you can feel seen, heard, and connect to your own self- a sacred being worthy of your own love- I am here.

Self-care can be silly. Learning to track your thoughts is a foundational skill for solid mental health. It gives you the perspective of watching your brain come up with some wild interpretations and thoughts and noticing that those thoughts are not truth, and they are not you.

Learning to give yourself distance from your thinking buys you space for self-compassion, for making choices that align with who you want to be, and for learning to quiet the mind when it begins to spin.

Register your teen through email (found in bio and on the website). Next group session begins in January, after the holidays.

Teen Self-Care Group registration is now open. Register by email (available on the website). Next group begins after the holidays in January. You and your teen have questions about what that means…so let’s take all the mystery away. The group focuses on foundational self-care skills we should all get familiar with. Starting with a classic and an all-star!

Make room for yourself. When we work together, you have already decided you are worth taking time for. Worth making some space for.

My half of the equation is to provide a space where you can explore what it means to be fully and messily human, to connect deeply to who you truly are, and to find ways to connect to yourself in compassion, rooted in your own worthiness. And I hold space for you to explore the things and patterns that are getting in the way of that compassion, connection, and rootedness.

Your relationship with yourself and how you make space and take care of you is the thing that will allow everything else to shift. This picture is a small table where I started piling things that made me feel more connected to me. The table has since become a whole area in my house. But really, I carry that space inside myself now.

Providing clients with the opportunity for self-care and a place to honestly explore their relationship with themselves is a foundation for good health, well-being, healthy family units, and a healthier society at large. But it all starts with you - making space for yourself. I will help you hold that space, until you are ready to carry it with you everywhere.

Psst…wanna know a secret? Self care can look like play. Getting in touch with your creativity, or prioritizing joy are wonderful ways to care for yourself. Whenever I am in a hard minute, I like to invert. It gets me out of my head, into my body, and is a big reset. Is it my best look? No! Does it matter? No! Is it fun? YES!!

What’s your version of fun self-care? No judgment for how silly you look when you do it.

Obviously, right? You are a grown-up and you get to do what you want. You certainly don’t need my permission. But sometimes it can be so hard to give ourselves space to slow it down and breathe, to make space for our actual feelings and sit with them when we find them unpleasant, to say no to the outside world, to say yes to ourselves. If you have a hard time giving yourself permission to create that space for you, reach out. It’s okay to seek support in the process of taking care of yourself.
