We are so proud to announce the creation of a Clinical Director role at the Leggett Group- please help us spread the word so we can find a like-minded therapist leader to join our amazing team. Suprvisory and management experience required, independent licensure, as well as someone seeking a high-support, continual-learning environment, and who has a commitment to anti-racist and anti-racist practice, including ongoing trainings and affinity spaces. We also have one therapist opening in Framingham, and a few openings in Roslindale. Can't wait to hear from interested folks who want to work for a truly special group!
Are you worrying about your present or future college student during these troubling times? Sign up for a panel set up by our partners at the Wily Network about what to know about mental health concerns in the college years, and how to support your student during these times in particular. "See" you there!
As a practice, we stand ready to help people with their emotional struggles no matter their background, and we follow the social work principle of starting where a client is at. We also believe in justice, and in speaking out for the marginalized voices of our society. Are you confused by the anger in our times? Perhaps this article will help, which takes a very compassionate and needed view of the anger arising in protest and vigil settings. Thanks for your brilliant words, Mr. Abdul-Jabbar. We stand in anger at the killing of George Floyd, and remain committed to helping heal trauma, and change the world.
Wow this is a helpful article-- have you been feeling brain fog of late? You'll appreciate this articulate piece. "Making time and space for these (difficult) emotions is an act of profound kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others." Hope it brings you comfort!! Remember, we are here if you need counseling, just call: 857-273-2124.
The staff of the Leggett Group send you care and greetings, hoping you are taking as good care of yourselves as you can in this difficult time. We found this message of hope by this inspirational young woman to be a calming salve right now. We hope you enjoy this, from our nation's first ever Youth Poet Laureate Ms. Amanda Gorman-- just beautiful.
Dear wonderful TLG community-- we hope you are all well and navigating this public health crisis as well as you can. It's a LOT. We at TLG have been working hard contacting each of our current clients and helping you to transition your care to telephonic or televideo options, and making plans with you to make sure you have enough support to get through this difficult time. We are also working hard advocating with your insurance companies to get you the best benefits you can, like waiving costshare for the plans that have agreed to this. We know it's a stressful time, and we want to do as much as we can to support you and your families. We have also begun now to take new intakes via Televideo for individual therapy and med management, and also to recruit for new online group offerings, such as our New Parent Group called This Kinda Sucks, starting a week from Tuesday! Please continue to reach out to our Intake Line at 857-273-2124 if you need therapy, medication, a referral or other resource, and we will do our best to help. We appreciate this community so very much and are trying to do all we can to serve you during this incredibly stressful pandemic. Please remember-- you are not alone-- and we want to help if we can. We will share more resources here over the next few weeks, and we hope they are helpful!
Please take care.❤️ Sincerely, the TLG staff

We are honored to know Representative Pressley, who has been an ardent supporter of mental health treatment access in Boston since forever. Her bravery and honesty here in openly discussing her struggle with alopecia is inspirational, and in line with our value of reducing stigma for any emotional struggle. Thank you Rep. Pressley, we think you are brilliant and are grateful for your incredible leadership!
For folks with kids in college who may be struggling with eating behaviors, Walden is offering a specialized program for the holiday break. Sounds like a lovely option if your college student could use specialized support in this area!
We have cancelled the first few appointments of the day for those traveling far. Please call if you are concerned about road safety early and we will move your appt. for those walking in (many of our clients do) bundle up!
We will be open tomorrow to serve you for regularly scheduled appointments. Stay safe and leave extra time for driving! Questions or concerns give us a call!
On this day, we give great thanks to our incredible clinicians, administrators, billers, office cleaners, building managers, and tech support who make up this beautiful team that is the Leggett Group. Grateful to be serving the communities in which we work, and to be stronger by doing the work together!
