Ready to learn more about retained primitive reflexes?

These reflexes are present in infancy as involuntary movements as protective measures for the baby or for essential functions such as feeding.

When a baby does not integrate these reflexes properly or turn them into volitional body movements, patterns, etc they are in control of it can create a variety of struggles for them that are now COMMON in our children but not NORMAL.

Now this isn't to say that certain things about your child aren't just their personality or that everything should come easy in sports, school, learning, play, etc for your child - but if you see enough signs/symptoms that overlap from lack of skills and movement patterns in infancy/throughout your child's first year and struggles they seem to be having that just aren't the same as their peers or even your other children - reach out to get your questions answered, follow your gut, and learn how OT services can help!!

✨ Occupational Therapy services soon available ✨

Exciting news! I have found an amazing OT to bring on board and help families! She will be starting near the end of the year, so I am gathering a waitlist for families who are interested so we can get intake information taken care of to be ready to go once she starts!

OT will be focusing on the following areas:
• plagiocephaly- preventing need for helmets or addressing root cause body tension and motor deficits that caused need for a helmets
• tummy time, sitting up, crawling, walking, etc.
• reflex integration (more specific posts to come on this!)
• visual tracking skills, reading skills
• balance and posture
• hand writing skills
• gross and fine motor skills needed for daily tasks and success in school

As with all of the niches my practice has focused on, I am so excited to be adding OT and there are big plans in store for how we will be able to help kiddos in our community in ways that have not been available!! ❤️

It's been a busy summer and I've had SO many graduates this month! Lots of mamas and their babies who are now feeding successfully, equipped with knowledge and resources, babies calm and comfortable in their own bodies, and confident with purposeful play ideas for meeting milestones!

Services at Feed, Eat, Babble just aren't about what's going on in your baby's mouth - it's a whole body approach designed to meet your goals now and set your child up for future success with feeding, speech, airway development, dentition, facial growth, sleep .... even prep work in the first year to ensure motor milestones are met correctly to reduce risk of unintegrated reflexes that can impact sleep, athletic skills, posture, and academic skills down the road!

Hiring a Physical Therapist to join our team and expand our service options for families on this area!

Must be willing to specialize in pediatrics and infants, willing to support with additional CEU trainings needed

Will be part of a team that is truly changing lives, working closely with families, and a flexible and rewarding schedule/caseload as well as overall part of the Feed, Eat, Babble team!

Congratulations 🎉

This little guy and his mama are proof as to how much breastfeeding can improve when you follow recommendations and a HEP! It wasn't just us, it was a whole team approach with referrals to a few other providers as well. Just like with parenting, sometimes it takes a village to help a baby become a happy, relaxed, efficient eater!

Feed, Eat, Babble is continuing to grow in the best way!

I'm looking to hire additional SLP staff, open to after school hours, part time availability, and full time.

Expanding to support families with PT and/or OT help as well! Open to after school hours, part time, and full time.

All positions will have a focus on infants and pediatricians, previous experience is not a requirement but a passion to learn and grow while being creative is! ❤️

Congratulations 👏

This little girl's story was as heartwarming as they come, with lots of happy tears! Multiple burdens and worries were lifted once this little girl learned how to take a bottle as well as helping breastfeeding to become a pain free and calming process for mama and baby! ❤️

If you're baby is struggling to take a bottle, is giving you pain when feeding, or just seems to be a wiggle room during feedings reach out!

Did you know May is the national Speech Language Hearing month to celebrate SLPs??

I'm so proud to be a SLP and all the families I am able to help - it's a truly rewarding job that leads to:

Tears when a family finally finds someone who can give them answers as to why their children is having trouble sleeping at night - someone who has a plan in place for their child

Tears of relief when a baby is able to feed from a bottle for the first time after refusing since birth - a burden and "what ifs" all begin to melt away

Tears of joy when you find there is a reason your baby has been struggling to latch, and sometimes many different reasons - there a reason that someone is able to help you with!

Tears of acceptance that it's ok you have to use formula, whether your body failed you or it didn't click for your baby, it's ok to have a baby that only bottle feeds

Excitement that palatal expanders aren't falling out anymore because there's no more teeth grinding

Excitement over graduation happy meals that are swallowed with ease and a proper swallow pattern

Excitement over happy kiddos who are sleeping better and no longer crabby during the day

Excitement that a baby latched for the first time and you heard those first efficient gulps indicating he or she is moving milk

Excitement that all the hard work your family put in paid off! Knowing you've set your child up for the best possible outcomes with feeding, speech, airway development, facial growth, etc.

I could go on and on but I love that on any given day I help families through the tears, guilt, and worry while also celebrating big and little victories!!

When I started my practice I wanted it to be just me, a solo private clinician on a mission to specialize and change therapy for families. I never even thought about growing or adding other SLPs....what I've been able to create is so special, life changing for families, and such a crucial need for the kiddos and their families in this area that I've been able to dream about expanding - and now that reality is here too!
