At Feed, Eat, Babble we have SLPs trained in oral placement therapy and myofunctional therapy treatment techniques to help your child in uniques way and address root causes!

Myofunctional therapy can help to improve oral coordination, strength, and ROM to improve sleep quality, emotional regulation, address mouth breathing, improve lingual resting posture, reduce teeth grinding, reduce bed wetting, reduce drooling, and assist in healthy habits to prevent relapse of orthodontic care or assist in airway health and development such as addressing swollen tonsils. It's the perfect compliment to palatal expansion to improve a tongue's resting posture and swallowing patterns.

Has your child been in articulation therapy for a long time? Do they seem "stuck" and just aren't making any more progress? Often times an approach to address the root causes of impaired oral strength, coordination, and dissociation are needed.

Plus, this therapy is just plain old FUN for kiddos and can be incorporated in engaging ways for them at their age level!!

Feedings shouldn't be painful, you don't need to keep enduring pain, there shouldn't be clicking, a latch doesn't have to stay shallow, your baby doesn't have to be uncomfortable from gas or reflux, feedings don't need to take 45 minutes, "colic" can be fixed, etc....

Once you know how to look for them, there are so many signs your baby is giving you that they are struggling from tension, ties, or other deficits impacting feeding skills. Help to improve feedings now while also setting them up for success with feeding, speech, airway development, and other motor skills as they get older!

Have you been looking for lactation help?

I am so excited to be working with Kerri and her practice Mother Nurture Breastfeeding Support Services, who is an IBCLC with years of experience working with breast and bottle feeding mamas as well as oral ties, body tension, and functional supports! She will be seeing families at the Birch Run office!

If you've been looking for support with latching, milk transfer, milk supply, pumping, etc Kerri is a phenomenal resource who cares deeply for all the families she works with!

She has extra training in Holistic Lactation to help you determine your own nutritional deficiencies and supports needed to improve milk supply while also supporting your body post partum. Kerri can guide you in supporting gut healing, and sorting out food sensitivities that may impact reflux, colic, bowel movement and more.

Ready to learn more about retained primitive reflexes?

These reflexes are present in infancy as involuntary movements as protective measures for the baby or for essential functions such as feeding.

When a baby does not integrate these reflexes properly or turn them into volitional body movements, patterns, etc they are in control of it can create a variety of struggles for them that are now COMMON in our children but not NORMAL.

Now this isn't to say that certain things about your child aren't just their personality or that everything should come easy in sports, school, learning, play, etc for your child - but if you see enough signs/symptoms that overlap from lack of skills and movement patterns in infancy/throughout your child's first year and struggles they seem to be having that just aren't the same as their peers or even your other children - reach out to get your questions answered, follow your gut, and learn how OT services can help!!
