๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Kit Luce, CCP-C! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš‘

Weโ€™re proud to announce that Paramedic Kit Luce is now a Board-Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) through the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC).

The CCP-C is an international board certification and represents one of the highest levels of achievement in prehospital critical care medicine. The exam is widely recognized for its rigor and low pass rates, placing those who earn it among a small percentage of paramedics nationwide who have demonstrated advanced competency in critical care transport, physiology, pharmacology, hemodynamics, ventilator management, and complex clinical decision-making.

Kit has served Clinton County EMS since October of 2022. Kit has been involved in many high acuity cases during his time, such as high risk deliveries, resuscitated cardiac arrests, and complex medical and trauma calls requiring advanced knowledge and skill. Kit also created our website for us through his side passion for technology!!

This accomplishment reflects Kitโ€™s dedication to excellence, commitment to evidence-based practice, and drive to continuously raise the standard of care for our patients. Weโ€™re proud to have a board-certified critical care clinician on our team and grateful for the leadership and professionalism Kit brings to our service.

Please join us in congratulating Kit on this outstanding achievement ๐Ÿ‘
Well earned and well deserved.

๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Megan Holliday, FP-C! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš‘

Weโ€™re proud to announce that Paramedic Megan Holliday is now a Board-Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) through the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC).

The FP-C is an international board certification and one of the most respected credentials in critical care transport medicine. The exam is known for its rigor and low pass rates, meaning only a small percentage of paramedics nationwide ever earn this designation. Achieving board certification reflects advanced mastery of critical care medicine, physiology, pharmacology, ventilator management, and high-acuity clinical decision-making. On top of all this, Megan achieved this accomplishment within 9 months of becoming a Nationally Registered Paramedic from the first cohort of the Clinton County EMS Paramedic Program.

Meganโ€™s accomplishment is a testament to her dedication, discipline, and commitment to providing the highest level of care to our patients. Weโ€™re very proud to have her on our team and grateful for the standard of excellence she brings to our service every day.

Please join us in congratulating Megan on this outstanding achievement ๐Ÿ‘
Well earned and well deserved.

๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿš‘Stork Pin Awards for Clinton County EMS Crew That Safely Deliver Baby

Clinton County EMS is proud to share the exceptional story of two of our A-Shift crews, who successfully assisted in the prehospital delivery of a healthy newborn during an emergency call on October 23rd, 2025.

At approximately 06:55 am, Clinton County Central Dispatch received a report of a patient in active labor. Within minutes, EMS crews arrived to find that delivery was imminent. Paramedic Megan Holliday, Paramedic Phil Bushman, EMT Corbin Lopez , and EMT Logan Adams quickly prepared for a field delivery. Despite the rapid progression of labor, the team provided calm, skilled care, ensuring the safety of both mother and baby throughout the process.

At 07:23 a healthy newborn was delivered safely in the patientโ€™s home. Following delivery, the crew performed newborn assessment, provided delayed cord cutting, prioritized early skin-to-skin contact, and completed postpartum care for the mother. Both patients were transported in stable condition. While our crew did an amazing job, the mother was the one who really did all the work!

The family was extremely kind and stopped by our headquarters for a reunion that was so heartwarming.

Prehospital childbirths are relatively uncommon events in emergency medical services, but Clinton County EMS crews maintain ongoing obstetric and neonatal training to ensure readiness for high-risk, low-frequency emergencies.๐Ÿ’™
