Dr. Myhand is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. As the son of a career soldier, he grew up on Army bases throughout the US and Germany. His medical career started in military medicine where he received vast experience in both academic and clinical medicine. Dr. Myhand has held many positions including assistant professor, program director of a hematology/oncology fellowship training program and director of bone marrow transplant. He was previously the Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center and the San Antonio Military Medical Center. He then served as the Medical Director of the Adena Cancer Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. Pursuing his life-long dream of becoming a community oncologist, he practiced in Georgetown, Ky for the last 4 years prior to relocating to Frankfort.
