It has been such a beautiful week helping host the Tashi Kyil Buddhist Monks for the 5th time! They have visited in 2013, 2015, 2019, 2023 and 2026z And you showed up Frankfort!!!!!

Thank you to Charlie Pearl, Stephanie Cramer, Nancy Osborne, Yes Arts, the Church of the Ascension, Paul Sawyier Public Library, & every single person that showed up to observe, learn and share in community, to everyone that provided meals and did library shifts, to everyone that donated and bought goods - and most of all to everyone that shared in the vibes of peace, love and wisdom. This village is strong and kind, and that just multiplies by a ton over this week.

✨all of the donations go directly to the Tashi Kyil Monastery in Northern India, which is the main home and education center for all the monks, over 60% which are children (the youngest just turned 6!)

A Multi-practitioner appointment just opened up next Wednesday @ 10a- and you know these go fast!

We offer these special treatments once a month. 3 incredible practitioners. 1.5 hours. One comfortable treatment room where you get to rest, receive, and work on what ails you.

Day 4 is today of the sand mandala creation at Paul Sawyier Public Library. They will be there til 5 today. Tomorrow will be the closing ceremony. All welcomed! This is a sand mandala, the Medicine Buddha, that is a rich in meaning and healing. There are some flyers at the front with information on it, and feel free to talk with Lobsang; he is amazing and can explain a lot.

Saturday is the (yummy!) Tibetan dinner at Church of the Ascension downtown. Joseph and I will do a little talk at the dinner as well on the theme of Buddhism, our time in India studying Buddhism, and of course love.

Sunday they will be at The Light Clinic at 10:30a for meditation & Chod, Sunday eve back at Church of the Ascension for a dance and Q & A, and Monday at Yes Arts for a kids arts class!

Thank you to everyone that is showing up. This is their last week on an eight month tour before they head back to India. They love it here in Frankfort. This is their fifth time coming. Let’s keep welcoming them home. And helping spread peace and love in this beautiful place we all live and love.

Come connect with the energetics of February, of our heart space with Valentines, of the energy this new Chinese New Year of the Horse has to bring us, of this Aquarius time, and much more. Day 1: Tashi Kyil Buddhist Monks Sand Mandala creation at the Paul Sawyier Public Library in downtown Frankfort, KY.

➡️they will be at the library every day this week from 10:30-5p making this beautiful sand creation (M-Th), then Friday they will have a ceremony at Noon to sweep it all away.

All welcomed. Come and watch. Buy some goods. Sit in the peace and harmony of this act of dedication, artistry and compassionate medicine.

🎼watch this reel with the sound on. There is some quiet, some chanting, and the sound of the brass instrument that helps create the sand mandala. Just even listening is a balm to the soul. And we all really need that right now.

And did we mention this is their last stop after an 8 month tour, then they head back to their monastery in India.

At dinner tonight they said coming to Frankfort, and Kentucky, felt like coming home. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And that is a deeply beautiful thing to hold. And continue.

The monks will be at the Paul Sawyier Public Library in the River Room from 10:30-5p every day this week creating this beautiful sand mandala (M-Th).

At the end of the week, on Friday at noon, they will perform their closing ceremony of the sand mandala. This entails sweeping up the exact art they meticulously created over 25 hours. It’s a very powerful and beautiful symbol of the beauty we can create with focus and intention, of the impermanence of all things, and of creation, and letting go.

Come by the library this week to see this beautiful process. Tell your friends. They have many beautiful Tibetan goods on sale as well. See you soon.
