Harm Reduction Services provides an opportunity to reach people who aren't otherwise accessing healthcare services by providing naloxone, wound care kits and drug testing strips. Harm reduction incorporates strategies that meet people where they are ― on their terms and may serve as a pathway to health and social services, including prevention, treatment and recovery services. Harm Reduction Services are provided free of cost at many local health departments and community-based organizations in Kentucky.

❤️ February is American Heart Month! ❤️

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in Kentucky, but many risk factors are preventable. This month, we’re highlighting the importance of heart-healthy habits, equitable access to care, and public health strategies that help Kentuckians live longer, healthier lives.

Whether it’s eating more fruits and vegetables, staying active, managing blood pressure, or supporting community-wide prevention efforts — every step counts.

Join us in spreading awareness, sharing resources, and strengthening heart health across the Commonwealth. Together, we can make a healthier Kentucky. 💙
