We are excited to say we will be open tomorrow 2/2/26 with normal hours 8-4!

Transportation will run in areas we can safely get to. Please make sure drives and walkways are clear for safety. Notify us of any plan changes by leaving a message at the center 502-875-7555 as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing all the smiling faces!

Due to road conditions transportation will NOT be available. Families will need to pick-up and drop-off.

Dangerously cold temperatures continue to pose a threat, with dangerous wind chills expected for days to come. Even 10-30 minutes outside could cause frostbite or hypothermia.

KYEM asks you to share our Kentucky Shelter & Warming Center Map with friends, family, and loved ones who may need shelter from the cold.

Find warming centers and emergency shelters in your community, including open/closed status, address, and contact information. Locations and statuses may change as conditions evolve.

Kentucky State Parks also opened warming centers at select park locations to provide a safe, warm place for those in need: https://parks.ky.gov/inclement-weather

Kentucky Call Center Is Available to Assist Survivors
KYEM Assistance Specialists are answering survivors’ calls in the Commonwealth’s Disaster Survivor Call Center at:

502-607-6665

FOR LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCIES CALL 911

If you are stranded in a vehicle:

• CALL 9-1-1!
• Run the engine for about 10 minutes per hour to run the heater and charge your cellphone.
• Open a window slightly to let fresh air in and avoid carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

KYEM Assistance Specialists are available to answer calls for immediate, but non-life-threatening needs, in the Commonwealth’s Disaster Survivor Call Center at 502-607-6665.

Immediate Non-Life-Threatening needs include: power is out or inconsistent; no heat or very little heat; individuals with medical needs or disabilities; no food or unable to cook; no or very little drinking water; unable to leave house due to weather and no transportation; phone issues; unable to leave vehicle; checking on a loved one; and more.

The EOC hotline is open today until 10PM for anyone needing assistance with a weather-related issue. This can be non-life threatening medical issues, heating issues, or if you have downed trees affecting utility lines. Call 502-352-2252.
