Have you ever wondered where Cornerstone got its name?

Today, before the sidewalk bricks are laid, I pressed my hands into the concrete outside the clinic and started thinking about when Cornerstone was just a tiny, nameless seed God had planted in my heart. 💗

After next week, no one will ever see them again. Most people will walk over this spot and never know what’s underneath.
But I always will.

In Acts 3, Peter and John healed a man who had been crippled his entire life. People were amazed and wanted to praise them for it. But Peter immediately pointed them back to Jesus, reminding them that healing, hope, and salvation come through Christ alone.
In Acts 4:11, Peter says:
“Jesus is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.” ❤️

Those verses have always meant so much to me with this clinic. They guided me to the name itself. They remind me that though I have medical training and knowledge, He is the only one who can truly heal. I merely pray to be His hands and feet.

Cornerstone Family Healthcare was never meant to be just a building or a business. My prayer has always been that it would be a place where people feel cared for, listened to, prayed for, and loved well.

Happy Wednesday!

The clinic will be closed the rest of the week while Allison spends some time with her WV family and celebrates an awesome young man’s graduation 💙

This is perfect timing, as the concrete progression will be making its way to our clinic this week and it would have been difficult staying open. We are excited for new sidewalks!
