The Brahma Kamal flower is a rare flowering plant found in the Himalayan region. It blooms between July and August. The fragrant plant is often used in religious ceremonies. The flower has been mentioned in many ancient texts.
Hindu text states that the flower sprang from Brahma's head when he created the universe. The Rigveda, a sacred Hindu text, mentions the Brahma Kamal plant in several hymns. This flower was also worshipped by the ancient Greeks and Romans, who associated it with their goddesses of love and fertility.
The Special part of the flower is that it only blooms at night for a couple of hours. We are blessting to have 2 flowers in our home on the eve of Shravan Maas.
