✨ Feeding your baby doesn’t have to feel draining.

As lactation consultants, we want you to know that there is no “one right way” to feed your baby — but there are ways to make it easier, more comfortable, and more sustainable for you.

Feeding challenges can feel overwhelming, whether it’s sore ni***es, questions about milk supply, pumping struggles, or simply the exhaustion of doing it all day and night. You don’t have to navigate those challenges on your own. Support is here for you.

Our role is to listen, guide, and help you find what works best for your body, your baby, and your family.

Sometimes that looks like adjusting positioning and latch, sometimes it’s finding the right pump fit, and sometimes it’s simply offering reassurance that you’re doing an incredible job.

✨ We are here for you every step of the way. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

We offer prenatal consults to set you up with a solid foundation before your baby arrives—but our support doesn’t stop there. Even if we haven’t met you prenatally, our team of 7 IBCLCs works hard to see you as soon as possible when you reach out.

We’re also proud to have a Speech Language Pathologist on our team to provide extra feeding support when needed.

Because every family deserves timely, compassionate, and personalized care. 💛

🍼 How Often Should You Change Your Duckbills?

✔️ Every 1–3 months
(or sooner if you notice reduced suction, milk backflow, or visible wear/tear)

Why it matters:

* Duckbills control suction.
* Worn ones can drop milk output.
* Over time, silicone loses elasticity, leading to leaks and less effective pumping.

💡 Pro tip:
If you pump multiple times a day, you may need to replace them every month for optimal performance.

✨ Fresh parts = better suction = more efficient sessions.

🤱 🍼 Breastfeeding for a YEAR = a FULL-time job.

It’s estimated to take around 𝟏,𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 — compared to the 𝟏,𝟗𝟔𝟎 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛.
And that’s 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 the feeding time.

It doesn’t include:
✨ Washing and sanitizing pump parts
✨ Storing and thawing milk
✨ Middle-of-the-night research sessions
✨ Attending appointments or consultations

World Breastfeeding Week is wrapping up…
and I wanted to share my 3 very different feeding journeys 💗

#1 – Brynn
Latched right away… but it was painful.
I kept hearing, “Latch looks great” and “She’s just colicky.”
She cried day and night.
My husband was away for 6 months for work, so it was just us.
Friends and family saved me.

Known tongue tie, but pedi said it was “fine.”
We made it 23 months before she self-weaned.
Mastitis once — awful.
wish I knew what I know now back then!

#2 – Paige
History repeated — crying, colic oh + blood in stool.
Cut dairy/soy… no change.

Pumped a lot early on and gave bottles because she wouldn’t latch and was so tiny
At 6 months things “got better” not really but improved she was latching and not screaming at least
Nursed until 3 years (yes, 3!).

Turns out she had terrible ties too.
Pedi said, “It will rip on its own.” Thanks.

#3 – Maeve
Rocky start.
Painful on one side.
Tongue tie released at 2 weeks. Thank you
Triple feeding until she started transferring milk.

Now? Nursing happily, and I’ll let her wean when ready.
Oh we got a new pedi too!

What I’ve learned:
Every journey is different.
Take it feed by feed.
Give yourself grace 💛

My older two inspired me to be an Ibclc because after my experiences I knew I wanted to help and support families on their feeding journeys!
