A few things to know about vitamin B12.
Make sure you’re getting enough.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause memory loss, numbness and tingling, neuropathy, fatigue, cheilitis or broken skin at corners of your mouth, and even contribute to osteoporosis.
The people at highest risk for being deficient are people who are vegetarian or vegan or don’t have a well balanced diet.
So if you are vegan or vegetarian, it’s good to supplement with nutritional yeast in your diet. It can really help a lot. And it tastes complex and nutty and cheesy in flavor.
It’s an easy level to check so if you have any symptoms or any concerns, please ask your doctor to check it!
