We could all use a HUG!

This friend is practicing giving herself a hug as a self-regulation strategy. The deep pressure when squeezing her arms (and taking some deep breaths!) helps provide her body with calming, organizing input needed to regulate when feeling frustrated, overwhelmed and/or upset.

Be kind to yourself. Listen to your body. Give your self a HUG! You are doing AMAZING things!!

HAPPY OT MONTH!!

We get asked ALL THE TIME what an occupational therapist does. If you have wondered this too, you are not alone! OTs get to work with individuals ACROSS THE LIFESPAN. Whether infant, toddler, school aged child, adolescent, young, middle or older adult, the goals we work on depend on the desires and demands for that particular age.

OT has been described as where science, creativity and compassion collide…. And we couldn’t agree more! We love supporting families and cheering on kiddos as they learn and grow and work to thrive in all they do.
