When one of our residents shares their family with us, it makes the day extra special.

This weekend, Pat Grove did just that. Her grandson Noah Grove, a professional musician, came by with his dad to play an acoustic Christmas concert for our community—and it was pure holiday joy. Cozy music, familiar songs, and lots of smiling faces filled the room.

And because Pat’s family knows how to do things right, they brought homemade Christmas cookies for everyone to enjoy.

Moments like these are what make Somerby feel like home—especially during the holidays.

Cookies with Santa is coming to Somerby Franklin!

Join us this Sunday, December 14th at 2:00 PM for a festive afternoon filled with holiday cheer, sweet treats, and special moments with Santa himself.

One of our favorite traditions returned, and the Holiday Fund Party was filled with everything that makes Somerby Franklin feel like home—dancing, laughter, hugs, and lots of cheering!

The room came alive as residents and associates danced side by side, shared big smiles, laughed until their sides hurt, and celebrated the incredible bond that truly makes us family. These joyful moments are a reflection of the love, gratitude, and connection shared between our residents and associates—connections that go far beyond a workplace or a residence.

The dedication and heart of our team shine every single day, and this celebration was a beautiful reminder of why what we do matters. A huge thank you to our residents for the incredibly generous gifts this year—your kindness and appreciation mean the world to us. And an even bigger thank you to our associates for all that you do with such passion, care, and commitment.

Last night, our residents enjoyed an unforgettable trip to see a sold out production of, “White Christmas”, presented by Studio Tenn at the Turner Stage inside The Factory in Franklin. The production brought classic Broadway magic to life, capturing the heart and spirit of the holiday season.

Patrick Cassidy, the director of White Christmas and Studio Tenn’s Artistic Director, shared that the show “captures what makes the holiday season so special. It’s the kind of show that reminds me why I fell in love with musical theater, and I know it will do the same for our audiences.” His words rang true as our group was completely immersed in the music, story, and charm of the performance.

The most memorable moment of the evening came when Patrick Cassidy personally came out to meet our residents. His kindness and enthusiasm made the night even more special and created a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

It was truly a magical evening, and we hope you’re all having a very merry Christmas season.

GOOD GRIEF! A Charlie Brown Christmas Experience!

The afternoon unfolded straight out of a Peanuts comic strip—cue the Vince Guaraldi tunes and all the cozy nostalgia of A Charlie Brown Christmas. The Peanuts Personality Quiz quickly turned the room into a cast reunion: a few deep-thinking Linuses, some Snoopy-level free spirits, and of course, a lovable Charlie Brown or two.

Then came the legendary Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Challenge. A handful of wobbly little sprigs stood bravely on the tables, just begging for a little holiday magic. With creativity worthy of Snoopy’s doghouse décor, each “sad little tree” blossomed into something festive enough to make Charlie Brown beam and say, “I never thought it was such a bad little tree.”

A simple, sweet, good-grief kind of Christmas fun—Peanuts style.
