A Fuller Life Therapy

A Fuller Life Therapy Amber Fuller, MMFT, DARTT. (This page is informational. It is not therapy.) I see adults, couples, teens and families at my counseling office in Franklin. Amber

I received my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University and I am in the process of becoming fully licensed as an LMFT in the state of Tennessee. My desire to engage in this kind of healing work has always existed but it became my central focus after divorce eight years ago. My healing journey after this unexpected loss ignited a passion for mental, emotional, r

elational, and spiritual wellness. I knew I wanted to help others experiencing trauma, pain, and grief. While developing national support groups for single parents (www.soloparent.org), I returned to school to fulfill a new life calling as a counselor. My therapeutic approach is attachment-based and integrative, helping clients connect thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to find healing as they explore their stories, write new narratives, and pursue healthier relationships. Part of my journey has been as a single parent navigating the complexity of raising a child with autism. My life is centered on relationships because I believe authentic healthy connections are integral to a life of meaning and purpose. Welcome to A Fuller Life Therapy! I’m glad you’re here.

If you know or love someone on the autism spectrum, this heartwarming little book is a delight. (We no longer use the term “Asperger Syndrome” professionally, but the content is spot on and presented with grace and charm.) And I happen to love cats. ♥️ And those who are neurodivergent!

Done! It was a good day filming video shorts focused on mental and emotional health for Solo Parent (). It’s such a privilege to be part of something created by single parents, for single parents. THANK YOU to all who support and pray for this organization!

Hoping to make a difference one person, one family, one generation at a time. Healthier parents raise healthier children!

Yes. 🙌🏽

There’s a difference between being loved and being liked.
💚 Our kids need both.

They need to feel enjoyed, delighted in, and celebrated, not just cared for.

Fitness is such an important component of mental health!

Today I had my initial training assessment (virtually!) with Deb Solberg of Uplift Fitness Online (https://upliftfitnessonline.com). Highly recommend! So impressed with her knowledge and expertise while making me feel comfortable and ready to take the next step!

It’s a privilege to be able to move and train our bodies for greater overall health and strength.

What if every step you take is rewiring your brain?

Not figuratively. Not someday.
Literally. Right now. ✨

Walking isn’t just “good for you.”
It’s neuroscience in motion. 🧠🚶‍♂️
Every time your foot hits the ground, you activate chemical cascades, improve blood flow to your memory centers, and shift the emotional tone of your day. ☀️

It’s not just exercise.
It’s brain architecture. 🏛️

🧠 Your hippocampus grows.
☀️ Your serotonin rises.
💡 Your thinking clears.

Here’s what walking does, according to research:

• 🧠 Grows your brain by 2% (yes, structurally)
• ☀️ Boosts serotonin by 50% — your built-in mood stabilizer
• 😊 Elevates mood by 17% in under 15 minutes
• 👁️ Increases focus by 14% — even after a short walk
• 🪶 Reduces anxiety by 20% — measured in cortisol and HRV
• 🌳 Lowers dementia risk by 51% — by stimulating memory, blood flow, and resilience

Most of us wait to feel better before we move.
But movement is how we feel better. ⚡

That’s why I wrote Help in a Hurry. ✍️📚
A science-backed guide to what actually works when you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck.

The book drops August 5th! 📅✨
And this post?
It’s just one of the ways it helps you reset your mind — fast. ⚡

Clearing Out the Clutter: Making Space for What Truly Matters

We all have a junk drawer—full of things we thought we might need, things we keep adding to. A AAA battery, a ribbon from last year’s package, an instruction manual for some long-gone appliance, tape, rubber bands, a stray nail or screw, an old picture or note. Random stuff that might come in handy one day—or that we once thought would but no longer does.

Our inner world is often the same way. Over time, we collect thoughts, emotions, and stories—some useful, some outdated, some we never really needed in the first place.

Therapy is like opening that junk drawer and taking inventory. If we don’t do this regularly, it can be overwhelming.

As we sift through, we start noticing what’s trapped inside—old narratives, lingering fears, meanings we’ve assigned to past experiences, beliefs we’ve carried for years. Some of it needs to go. Trash. Throw it away. It’s not serving you anymore—maybe it never did.

Other things may have once been useful but no longer fit who you are now. They got you through a season, but their purpose has passed. It’s okay to let them go too.

Then, there are the things worth keeping—the truths, the strengths, the lessons that still serve you. Some things you might not be sure about yet, and that’s okay. You can take time to sit with them, to decide what belongs and what doesn’t.

Just like decluttering a junk drawer, sorting through your inner world creates space—space for clarity, healing, and the things that truly matter.

✨ What are you holding onto that no longer serves you?
✨ What needs to be released to make room for something better?
✨ What’s worth keeping, nurturing, and carrying forward?

As we clear out what no longer belongs, we create space for what does. We organize, we become intentional, and we make room for what is life-giving, healing, and true.

I see you. And if you’re feeling overwhelmed by all that’s been stored inside, you don’t have to sort through it alone.

There’s something deeply right about you.
