As summer is drawing near and activity is increasing you might want to consider having a homeopathic first aid kit at your disposal. They are a great first line of defense either until medical help can be found or possibly take care of the situation itself. Some of my favorite remedies to count on during summer activities are the following apis mellifica: is wonderful for treating a bug bite characterized by localized swelling, redness and warmth in the sting area. The symptoms are brought relief after application of cold compresses.
Arnica Montana: is a staple when traveling with small children as it's the first remedy given in a trauma situation. It can start the reabsorption of bruises. It's also great to have arnica cream in the first aid kit. Arsenicum a l b u m: is what comes to mind in cases of travelers diarrhea, food poisoning with vomiting and diarrhea, accompanied by anxiety, unrest, fatigue and chills.
Belladonna: is recommended for first degree burns also otitis, tonsillitis with sudden onset High fever, throbbing headache, glassy eyes, flushed and congested face with ice cold extremities.
Canthris: is highly valuable and treating second degree burns when vesicles are being formed.
Glonoinum: is very useful in cases of sunstrokes and it's the first remedy for a congestive headache which appears after prolonged exposure to the Sun.
Nux Vomica: is undeniably the best remedy to have in your kit during holidays and is excellent in cases of overindulgence of food and alcohol. It is extremely helpful with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, colic and abdominal pains.
Podophyillum: is most often prescribed for diarrhea's that occur in small children during The summer's hot weather, caused after consumption of acidic fruits.
Ruta Graveolens: is the first remedy for sprains and strains. It will bring relief in different traumas of ligaments and tendons.
Tabacum: is of great help for those suffering from motion sickness with nausea, cold perspiration, chills and pillness. Other remedies that can help treat motion sickness or cocclus, petroleum and sepia. Although homeopathic remedies are harmless and free of side effects they still should be taken only with a qualified homeopath supervision.
