What Is The VFW Post 4893?�

The Roy F. Alley Post 4893 is located in the heart of Franklin, Tennessee nestled between Cool Springs, the Factory and scenic downtown Franklin. Our facility is made up of nearly 150 veterans and family members that all work to support veterans’ issues across Middle Tennessee.

Our post has a drop box and conducts retirement ceremonies in coordination with other local organizations. Our post is also open to the public for all events. (Please sign guest log book upon entry.)

Post 4893 also actively participates in the Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen, and Teach of the Year programs that award students and teachers with scholarships and stipends to promote education across the community.

How The Event Will Go

We are turning this into one of our Sunday Funday events. We will have fun & games along with raffles specifically for veterans only! We will also have 50/50 raffles too!

We will also be having mini competitions between supporters like flippy cup, first to hit a bullseye and much more. Prizes will consist of free food and gifts / services we receive from other supporting local businesses.

Members of the Franklin VFW Post 4893 will be present & will also be joining to give a short talk about not just this charity but other Veteran charities in the area.

Our Goal

Fozzy’s goal is to help raise at least $5,000 through sponsorships and raffles to support local vets through VFW Franklin POST 4893. With the craziness going on in our world, most people don’t realize the sacrifice our troops make to keep this country safe and we want to show our love and support back.

Represented VFW Post 4893 and the Franklin Elks Lodge cooking hotdogs for the Vets in the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro last Friday. This is an annual event for the Franklin Elks Lodge, of which I'm a member, so I was fortunate to be able to spend the morning doing service for my Lodge, and my Post, on a beautiful Friday.

Another successful Musical Showcase at the Franklin VFW last Saturday. We start with a writer's round, then have a performance by Guitars for Vets (who always let me come on stage), and finish the night with an open mic session, which is always phenomenal (it is Nashville, right?). As Commander of VFW Post 4893, this is the event I'm most proud of creating. The next few months are very busy, so our next one will be in February. Hope to see you at the V before then!

Raised over $750 for University of Nebraska scholarship funds last Saturday selling raffle tickets at the Nashville Huskers watch party. Another big game tonight vs, Minnesota. Join us tonight at the Tin Roof @ to celebrate another Husker victory!

Had a great time at The Morning Pointe Foundation's Seniors Got Talent on Tuesday night! Tremendous performers, including the winner, Lucius "Spoonman" Talley, an 86 year old who brought down the house with his spoon playing. Each contestant was phenomenally talented!
