Bayou Bend Health System now offers in-house TeleNephrology services for renal patients in our care, eliminating the stress of having to transfer to another facility for treatments.

Dr. Melby Abraham, Senior Medical Officer at TeleNeph, will remotely oversee patient care alongside our Hospitalist. Dr. Abraham is a dedicated and forward-thinking nephrologist committed to delivering exceptional kidney care with compassion, precision, and innovation. She ensures that patients receive timely, accessible, and high-quality care no matter where they are.

Our patients will be treated by the NxStage System One, a home dialysis unit that some patients perform their own dialysis in the comforts of their home. We now will be able to provide those same comforts to our patients when they are admitted to our hospital.
