Lots of love for our friend teaching us some ASL today 🤟💙

At the start he asked, “Spanish or English?” — we love a big brain and a kind heart. Grateful for the chance to learn something new and meaningful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! ✨

Spring is the perfect time for little hands and big words 🌸✨

Head outside, pick a flower with those tiny fingers, and talk about what you see 💛
“I picked a flower.” “It’s growing!” “It’s yellow!”

Simple moments like these help build strong hands, growing vocab, and confident little voices 🌱💬

Spring is the perfect time to get outside and play—with a purpose! 🌸💪

Outdoor “heavy work” activities give kids the deep pressure their bodies need to feel more calm, focused, and regulated. Plus, it’s fun! ☀️

Here are some easy ideas to try this spring:
🌱 Gardening: dig in the dirt, carry water buckets, fill & dump containers
🐰 Obstacle courses: hop like a bunny, crawl through tunnels, climb and explore
🐻 Animal walks: bear walks, frog hops, bunny hops, crab walks & more

Get moving, get messy, and enjoy the benefits of play! 🌷✨

Everyday skills matter more than you think 💛

From brushing teeth and getting dressed, to handwriting and managing sensory experiences—these are the building blocks of independence.

Our OTs are here to support your child in the skills they use every single day ✨

Because small skills lead to big confidence.

🎨🖐️ Play is one of the best ways to build fine motor skills!

Some of our favorite toys for hand development:

Puzzles
Building blocks
Playdough
Beads & lacing toys

Little hands learn best through play, and these toys make it fun while building important skills!

✨ Our top picks:
Honeybee Tree – Encourages pincer grasp, fine motor control, and turn-taking.
Pop the Pirate (Bluey edition) – Builds lateral pinch, bilateral hand skills, and coordination.
Sneaky Snacky Squirrel – Strengthens fine motor skills, pre-scissor practice, color recognition, and turn-taking.

Play + practice = strong little hands! 🐝🦜🎯

April is OT Month! 🧡

We are so grateful for our incredible occupational therapists—our team truly wouldn’t be the same without them! Occupational therapy helps individuals build independence with everyday activities, improve emotional and self-regulation, and even support memory and cognitive skills.

We’re proud to introduce the amazing OTs who support both adults and children in our community every day:

✨ Sam – Sam has been an OT for 6 years and loves outdoor adventures with her husband, baby boy, and their dog.

✨ Grace – A recent graduate from Belmont University, Grace enjoys exploring her hometown and spending quality time with family when she’s not at work.

✨ Rob – With 31 years of experience, Rob is a seasoned OT and a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his wife and kids.

✨ Morgan – Our OT Lead, Morgan has been a dedicated therapist for 3 years and, outside of work, loves traveling with her fiancé and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Thank you to our OTs for the compassion, skill, and heart you bring to your work every single day! 💛
